Apparently I missed an entire Bananza transformation in DK XD

Did you not go back to the other level where the path splits?

Oh yeah, that explains how he missed one of the Elders.

I'm not sure if that is a yes or a no. Is there any other gameplay aside from the fights and looking for stuff in the overworld?

"Yeah" means yes. Its the best non-fighting genre story focused Dragon Ball Z game - better than the Legacy of Goku trilogy on GBA.

-Racing using a car in races (which you can upgrade)
-Mining (though its very barebones and basic)
-Cooking food
-Fishing
-Using a bipedal walking robot (which you can customize and upgrade walking speed, jumping power, etc)

Aside from that, its just any other typical RPG where you fight random enemies in a open world, do side quests which are just fetch quests with occasional fighting), and doing the main storyline.

Its great for people who want to enjoy the storyline for newcomers, it basically covers pretty much every major event in the main DBZ anime/manga with DLCs that further let you experience the last saga in OG Dragon Ball, Bardock (Goku's father)'s prequel story, Future Trunks future story which explains how the Android saga began and ultimately ended, a small retelling of DB Super's Battle of the Gods and Resurrection F and finally End of Z/Goku's next Journey.

There's the Daima DLC but its not completely out, I'm not gonna buy it on Switch, gonna wait for the entire DLC to be released next year and then play the game again on Steam.

As a huge fan of the Dragon Ball series (OG, Z, Super, GT, Daima and the non-canon movies/specials which I all watched) - highly recommend it and I'll 100% play it again in the future.

You mean you made it to the final boss without all Bananza Transformations?

Yup. If you do Pauline will just say "hey lets go get all the Bananza transformations" in the postgame and you'll just have it. Didn't realize I had missed it until then. There's only one point I can recall feeling like "maybe I'm missing an ability I should have".

I knew that there was another Bananza slot but I thought it would be an aweomse post game mega Bananza thingy. XD

At any rate, my first impressions were off. I think they just wanted to ease players into the game since the mechanics are much more complex than Mario, so maybe the first few layers were a bit slow. But once it got going it was awesome. And, knowing the way Nintendo likes to do things, I'm guessing there will be some nice content after the game's "ending" that is more geared towards long time gamers.

Will Nintendo ever make a Super Mario Maker 3? Arms 2? I would really love to see how Nintendo would innovate on the formulas. I feel like there is still so much room for growth.

Both could benefit from Switch 2 mouse controls.

That they would.

Had it not been for the mouse controls, I would say Mario Maker 3 wasn't likely. 2 sold well but below what we expected and Super Mario Bros. Wonder revived 2D Mario.

At the very least, it's possible Nintendo makes a Switch 2 enhanced port of Super Mario Maker 2.

Arms 2? Unlikely.

Returned to DKB, yeah it's the best game out this year so far I actually prefer it's approach compared to the 3D Mario games because it's like a structured adventure game like Banjo/Conker but not dependent on collect-a-thon progression and more on a BOTW like freedom approach, some issues that need refining like the camera but they did deliver with this game.

Got a Switch 2 and I have mostly played Mario Kart World so far since I got the bundle.

Been playing Shantae 1 on Switch.

Got two of the four relics in the game so I'm half way done with the game (assuming there's nothing else after that).

Just made it to the Zombie Caravan and about to start the 3rd dungeon.

Still wish Shantae was in Smash, instead of some generic martial arts douchebag or that anime thief asshole most people didn't know about.
