I'm not sure if that is a yes or a no. Is there any other gameplay aside from the fights and looking for stuff in the overworld?

"Yeah" means yes. Its the best non-fighting genre story focused Dragon Ball Z game - better than the Legacy of Goku trilogy on GBA.

-Racing using a car in races (which you can upgrade)
-Mining (though its very barebones and basic)
-Cooking food
-Fishing
-Using a bipedal walking robot (which you can customize and upgrade walking speed, jumping power, etc)

Aside from that, its just any other typical RPG where you fight random enemies in a open world, do side quests which are just fetch quests with occasional fighting), and doing the main storyline.

Its great for people who want to enjoy the storyline for newcomers, it basically covers pretty much every major event in the main DBZ anime/manga with DLCs that further let you experience the last saga in OG Dragon Ball, Bardock (Goku's father)'s prequel story, Future Trunks future story which explains how the Android saga began and ultimately ended, a small retelling of DB Super's Battle of the Gods and Resurrection F and finally End of Z/Goku's next Journey.

There's the Daima DLC but its not completely out, I'm not gonna buy it on Switch, gonna wait for the entire DLC to be released next year and then play the game again on Steam.

As a huge fan of the Dragon Ball series (OG, Z, Super, GT, Daima and the non-canon movies/specials which I all watched) - highly recommend it and I'll 100% play it again in the future.
