Ehh, I wouldn't hold my breath on a Star Fox comeback any time soon.

I think the more likely, safer bet is now Nintendo is going to try to take Yoshi in the 3D direction.
They're 2 for 2 now with Kirby (Forgotten Land) and Donkey Kong (Bananza). And of course, Mario will always deliver on the 3D front.
Now it's Yoshi's turn.

Yoshi's Crafted World had 3D sections, but yes, Yoshi needs a fully 3D platformer.

3D Yoshi will almost surely wait until after Mario. Even if Mario is 2-4 years out still, it needs a 3D platformer on Switch 2.

But 3D Yoshi might even come before another 3D Kirby game, despite the success and now new content of Forgotten Land.

There are probably a few teams that can work on 3D platformers at Nintendo, but not enough to devote development to 4 3D platformers at once I would think.

Lifetime Sales Predictions

Switch: 161 million (was 73 million, then 96 million, then 113 million, then 125 million, then 144 million, then 151 million, then 156 million)

PS5: 122 million (was 105 million, then 115 million) Xbox Series X/S: 38 million (was 60 million, then 67 million, then 57 million. then 48 million. then 40 million)

Switch 2: 120 million (was 116 million)

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)

I'd actually be surprised if we get anything 3D Yoshi related this year or the next before HAL releases the follow up to Kirby and The Forgotten Land.

There's the DLC sure, but it likely hasn't taken too many resources from them to make.

Switch Friend Code : 3905-6122-2909

Just give me ports of Yoshi Woolly World and Epic Yarn alongside a new 2D Yoshi over a 3D Yoshi.

Seems like a full blown 3D game takes way longer.

So what are the total sales for Donkey Kong Bananza on Switch 2?

There's practically no difference graphically between the Switch 2 and PS5 versions. ^^

A first party studio that handles ports that publishers can contract for ports to Nintendo platforms is a massive move.

Isn't that the studio specialized on Switch ports that Nintendo bought last year (or was it this year)? I knew back then that was great news for Switch 2!

I'm sure that's them it's a smart move they did as not only can publishers just use them instead of using their own resources but it opens up the prospect of Nintendo themselves approaching a publisher and porting a game they feel would be beneficial themselves.

I just realized: $500 NS2 bundle is really a $420 system bundled with an $80 game. That’s only $20 more than the OLED…dang.

All thanks to a "president" who's even less likable than Ridley.

Selling some things to put money towards Switch 2. Wish me luck.

Seriously, what are the total sales so far for Donkey Kong Bananza? I thought by now we'd know.
