Why not just give them world? but lower resolution to get it to run the switch?

World seems westernized...which most Japanese gamers don't like. There's a vocal minority that probably love World but this game was made to grab the attention of the western audience. I'm sure with how successful Switch has been and will be once games like Pokemon and Animal Crossing arrive, Capcom wants in on that future install base that's almost guaranteed to be over 10 million in Japan alone.

I know it´s off topic but what happen with the Resident Evil Engine that Capcom was working on for the Switch? I want Resident Evil 2 and 7 T-T

Has Capcom ever said they're working on anything Resident Evil for Switch? Lots of things being assumed without any actual announcements or comments about anything.

I don´t remember where I read it but I thought it was true :/

There's an A and a B MH dev team. Both are decent devs. A team is making MHW but I've absolutely no doubt the B team is making another MH for the Switch.

I'd guess holiday 2018 release in Japan at least. And this is the reason why MHW isn't a bad idea.

The only thing is, I don't understand the point. Why make 2 separate Monster Hunter games to come exclusively on different platforms, when you could make 2 Monster Hunter games to come out on all platforms?

It's a better move for both consumers and Capcom.

isn't capcom got money hatted by nintendo for monster hunter? maybe it expires and they can now develop for other platform.... yeah i dont understand why they wont have world for switch

No, just this;

"When Nintendo was developing the Switch, it went to various developers to get feedback, Capcom brought up the RAM, telling Nintendo it wasn’t sufficient for the RE Engine to work on the system. Other developers were echoing the same concern, but NintendoEverything notes that the amount of RAM in the Nintendo Switch (4GB) ultimately ended up being exactly what Capcom requested.

Capcom’s Masaru Ijuin explained during the conference that part of the need for that memory is about optimizing the RE Engine to be able to operate in both docked and portable states."

But why ask for an extra 2 gigs of ram to run resident evil's engine if they weren't gonna use it?

World dumbed down? It looks pretty cool. Unless you mean a dumbed down version of World

World looks like a dumbed down version of MH.  Esp with detective vision. C'mon.  Japan esp Capcom has a history of trying to make thier Japanese series simplified for the west. Rarely goes well.

Since when are mainline games "dumbed down"? Monster Hunter World is literally Monster Hunter 5 renamed.

Because they want to achieve high yield rates, in two target markets.
Though I would not mind if the XX team's games still came to the west.
