Horizon is being sold for half price on amazon, currently. Likely the same for retailers.

Not sure about UK but in the US its 40$ instead of the 60$ it used to be.

Not quite half price.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Horizon-Zero-Dawn-Standard-Edition/dp/B00ZG1S88E/ref=zg_bs_videogames_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=XRKQ4PT84Y3TNWVWF6F5

The reduction is larger in the UK, for some reason (that would convert to 33$, by the way.)

Bet with PeH:

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

bad decision to release this game at the price they did, especially when one of its main drawbacks is lack of content

£45 on Amazon, £50 in Game, you are asking for underwhelming sales, even this early on in a console's life with not much competition. Should have been a £30 game

Main Storyline alone is 21hours to beat, on avg according to howlongtobeat.

If you do extra's it ll end up around 42hours. The completionist can spend upwards of 60hours on the game.

Thats not bad for a 40$ game, that has some of the best graphics of the gen.

AFTER

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Horizon: Zero Dawn sold through 2.6 million in its first two weeks. Zelda BOTW for the Switch sold in (shipped + digital) 2.76 million copies in its first month. Obviously, Zelda BOTW has been held back by the installbase, so maybe Zelda would reach 5 million faster than Horizon if it had the same installbase to sell to, but that's just a hypothetical scenario.

Though I don't expect Sony to announce 5 million for HZD anyway, so we may never know.

Well, I don't wanna pick a fight, but looking at the numbers than europe is the only region where Horizon beats Zelda (Switch). If we combine both versions of Zelda, it is long past Horizon, but looking at Switch-version alone it managed to get 2.76M at May 13th (VGC), while Horizon has 2.84M. And that week Zelda sold 70K more than Horizon. So we can assume that by now Zelda Switch has overtaken Horizon worldwide. In europe on the other hand that will probably never happen, Horizon will keep staying in front.

my greatest games: 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024

10 years greatest game event!

bets: [peak year] [+], [1], [2], [3], [4]

???? but why? Last 2 weeks its been behinde in sales.

In the UK,  Horizon is #1 and Zelda is #22.

In the US, horizon is #6 and zelda is #17.

Also Horizon did like 3.4m in 2months of sales (end of april).

Now its June, and it appears to be selling more in EU,NA ect.

I think Horizon has a good chance to make 5m before zelda does.

Not sure about that, but I thought that Zelda was selling better than Horizon weekly? It seems to have about 100k weekly in the US alone. And it's already close to 4M if we count the WiiU version.

Both are amazing games though, so I hope they hit as much as they can.

Who's numbers are you using for that 100K?  If it's VGC's numbers, don't.  Especially if its SW numbers.  VGC tries its best, but it has been proven to be VERY off before.  And if the official trackers are saying that Horizon is beating Zelda, than Horizon is beating Zelda.  Most likely, the only place Zelda is beating Horizon is Japan, where it has great legs.  Everywhere else, I think you are going to find that Horizon has the better legs.

Halo 5 is still in the top 40 after almost 2 years? Some legs there indeed.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

I really wish the United States had weekly sales charts like this, too. I really like looking back through the Billboard 200 to see which albums were #1, it'd be cool if we could have been able to do that for video games too.

Not surprised to see Horizon at #1, With it been sold for £26 it's been at the top or close on just about every site's most popular lists.

There has also been some crazy "Days of Play" deals in the UK this past week where PS4 Pro consoles have all been bundles with a free copy of Horizon and Wipeout Omega Collection with the best around been a PS4 Pro with Horizon, Wipeout and InFamous Second Son all bundled for £349 which is what a standalone Pro costs usually. - on GAME also gives you another £7 reward credits to spend to make it an even better deal.

Should of been a good week around for PS4 hardware sales as we saw Tekken 7 bundles at £205 and Horizon + InFamous: Second Son + a controller for £249 also.

VGChartz doesn't track digital, and I guess digital sales are a lot higher for Horizon. Sales in the US and Japan are probably higher for Zelda even if we count digital sales, but I think it's very close worldwide.
