Capcom is saying MHW is basically MH5. The dev team wanted to use the word "World" instead of 5. Shrugs. 

Which proves the leak to be even more correct meaning a ground up Switch MH is on the way, it's indicated the 5 may have been dropped because Capcom got cold feet.

Look at the informations that come out. MonHun World started out as MH5, is made by the main team. There will be no matching MH5, a Freedom/Portable whatever may follow though.

That's what the main team is saying, but the semi-accurate rumor says that the portable team is assigned to Monster Hunter Portable for the Switch, because they aren't 100% sure about World. It might be Japan only though, like XX. 

We'll see I guess. I posted the rumor here and got chewed out for it, lol, now Nintendo fans want to believe. 

You posted one part of the rumour not the full leak that's why you got mauled by people, the person not only leaked XX on 3DS he later leaked XX on Switch as well saying it was a desperation move by Capcom when they began having doubts and realized that Generations did well as well as the Switch all of which has come into being only MHW is not called MH5, Capcom are simply saying World is not a spin off but then they've said the same about X and Frontier before by maintaining it's a MH game with out calling it MH5 they can assume a middle ground and salvage the situation if anything goes wrong.

Continuing the usual MH approach on portables is pretty much all that matters for many fans not the name.
