7/10

Mario and Rabbids looked surprisingly good. I'm always up for a new Kirby. Yoshi is fine, but Wooly World was kind of enough for me for a while, and I would have liked something fresher, although the 2.5D hook looks ok.

Odyssey looks amazing. Just pure fun. Metroid 2 remake looks great, although I'm not sure the Mario and Luigi one was necessary. Xenoblade 2 and Fire Emblem look solid.

The conference would have easily risen to 9/10 or even 10 if they actually showed something of Metroid or Pokemon. Nice to have two huge reveals, but then again calling them reveals is a bit generous. Third party support was, as expecting, also lacking although rocket league was a nice surprise.

Around the Network

Disappointed that they didn't reveal a new franchise.

The Odyssey trailer blew my mind though. I'll admit I wasn't all the excited to go back to scavenger hunt Mario but what we saw today was amazing. The Pauline cameo was the cherry on top.

I give it an 8.5. What would have brought it up was a surprise announcement that would have pissed off fanboys more than Bayonetta 2. Just saying that they're working on a mainline Pokemon and Metroid Prime 4 for Switch did a lot to ease the concerns of chicken little Nintendo fans.

Solid 8/10

Quick show and with lots of info.

Super Mario Odyssey looks perfect.

New Yoshi and Kirby games.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 got a really solid tralier

METROID PRIME 4 (Dissapointed for no footage, but great news anyways). Same with the Pokemon game.

Would have been a 10 with more Prime and Pokemon, and maybe the Metroid II Remake as well.

7/10 - because MP4 and Pokemon didn't have trailers.

Around the Network

I'll give it a 7/10. If factor in the treehouse it's 7,5/10

I don't care for Splatoon 2, Arms, Pokkén DX and Yoshi. Kirby looked good. Looking forward to Xenoblade 2 but that dub was awful. Pokémon RPG and Metroid Prime 4 announcment was cool but no trailer so I take away some points from that. I dig Mario + Rabbids. And Mario Odyssey is going to be awesome. I'm also looking forward to Rocket League.

But the highlight for me was Metroid: Samus Returns, which was announced at the treehouse. My only gripe is that it's 3DS exclusive. Oh, and no sequel to Fusion.

I am a Nintendo fanatic.

Solid. Actual teasers for Metroid Prime 4 and Pokemon Switch instead of just a title card and a name drop would have made it a great one.

B+

8/10

Looking forward to new Yoshi, Mario Odyssey, Mario + Rabbids looks like fun…

Also, people complaining that Metroid Prime 4 had no footage are missing the point. The mere fact that it will exist is enough to get people excited.

I must say I understand the complaint of no gameplay, but AT LEAST they said now in development, that way you knew it was going to be a little bit (unlike Square, showing of footage of a game that wont be ready for another 5 years). Those 2 announcements were purely for hype, and they succeeded in their attempts.

They showed enough games coming this year to warrant the games in development talk anyway. I'll rate their conference 9/10.

SO much hate for the lack of Metroid 4 footage.

Let's see Sony and MS set the standard in future announcements of games for their consoles, Nintendo jut follow. Hopefully it won't take 5 years to develop like FFVII will.

The other reason they would have done it i t ensure the 2D Metroid isn't hated when revealed. Look what happened t the lat Metroid game when everyone was excepting a 4 announcement. NO one eve gave it a hance from the minute the 4 was missing in that reveal. This way people can go yer cool 4 is being made, and wooo a bonus 2D game cool cool i'll give it a crack while I wait for 4.
