It'll stop selling after the Zelda Mario Kart Splatoon 2 Mario hype dies down.

lol. I still remember some of the "dead-on-arrival" comments.

Funny how Lawlight now disappears after realizing his Switchdoomed posts were completely false

Considering this is both handheld and console succesor it's to be expected. But the fact it happened so soon just shows how bad Wii U did and how good Switch is doing.

alot of people said it would be a Wii U2

Bit of nostalgia here. Anyone remember the week ending May 3rd 2008. Grand Theft Auto 4 release week. Was supposed to be the Savior for the ps360. Nintendo released an insane number of Wii consoles and that was the end of the console war right then.

They sold roughly 650,000 consoles that week which for April/may is absolutely ridiculous. You don't see numbers like that outside Xmas. Could the switch do the same. I'm not sure but would be great to see Nintendo release these sorts of numbers and see its potential.

Poor Wii U. Loved it but not a lot of love shown worldwide.

Switch is a beast though.

It had some great game, but it was not a great system. The gamepad was too big and and clunky and the range on it was almost as short as its battery. Buying the bigger battery helped, but still.  Bad system, lots of great games.

More said it wouldn't be though once they found out it was a succesor to both instead of just a home console.

Get used to it. The Wii's entire lifetime people did the same. In the beginning they constantly said same as Switch. ARtificial supply constraint. It's not popular, not selling well, ect.

And then throughout its lifetime it was considered a "fad"

People still today will vehemetely reject considering the Wii a successful console.

If God forbid the Switch catches up or passes the PS4, people will just say its a handheld and thus doesn't count. If it doesn't, then people will say the PS4 is the better selling system.

Sure people are still in denial that ps4 is the king this gen. You'll always get people denying everything. Big deal.
