Nice, it's not usual for Nintendo to brag about graphics so I am interest to see Fire Emblem.

Yeah, I agree with that. I certainly was more than OK with the graphic on the 3DS titles. Improved gameplay would be handy though, for instance rotating map (could be in 90-degree-steps, but looking in different perspectives on the battlefield) or other stuff like that is much more important than graphics.

The 3DS games look great for the system they're on. And their anime cutscenes will always look beautiful.

It will be interesting to see what graphical style they go for in the Switch game. Character portraits and cutscenes were more cell-shaded/anime while in-game models were more 'realistic.' I would imagine they'd go for something more uniform in the HD version. If I had a choice I think I'd prefer they stick with the anime style of the recent games' cutscenes. The facial animation will be easier to get right.

Yeah, I'm thinking this in conjunction with other comments from them means fully 3D Fire Emblem with different gameplay ... still tactical but more ... mainstream-ish, maybe like what Square has done with the Final Fantasy games (no longer strict turn based battles).

Do you think the Switch is powerful enough to let the characters have feet now? ~_~
