That's really bad for Vive and oculos. Hopefully psvr can keep up its sales. Although it will need continued software support

As much as I love VR right now, I know that the current devices are not ready for the mainstream. The set up is too complex, the resolution is too low, and the framerates are still too low. I think the price is actually fine, I believe it will actually go in both directions in time, where current level tech will fall and high end gear will go even more. The value in this tech is greater than any other piece of technology so far, and once the content, the hardware, and the OS's are sorted out, people will pay for a doorway to an unlimited universe.
Right now it is basically an industry wide, open market beta test or R&D period. Companies from every field are seeing how they can use the tech to expand their business, market their products, train their employees, and so much more. All of the trial and error stuff going on right now will make sure that once we reach the point where the hardware is ready for the mainstream, the software and the OS's will be super intuitive.
I think sales for all of the devices are doing well right now, and as more and more conent arrives, and the prices drop, more of the core tech and gaming market will climb in and give it a shot. I think we are about a decade away from VR/AR being part of peoples day to day lives. I fully expect the biggest franchises of the 2030's to be VR/AR experinces.
Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

PS Vita sold double than Oculus and Vive combined in this time period. If I'm not allowed to call VR dead, I also refuse to call the Vita dead!

PSVR seems to be the logical choice, it has real, tangible games that aren't just demos. Tbh I'm waiting on something big from their 1st party, or a crazy Japanese game with new concepts.
I had a DK2, was fun for a while but then gathered dust for a year before I sold it.
Waiting on Gen 2 of VR with a bit more games available, aren't there any rumors of Rift 2 or Vive 2? If PSVR keeps selling like it does then I think it's a foregone conclusion PSVR2 will come with/after PS5.

And why are people still calling PS VR a flop?
Considering the massive discrepancy in price between Gear VR and PSVR, I would have expected Gear to have outsold it by quite a bit more than that. PSVR doing better than the other expensive sets is hardly a surprise, it's the only one that runs on a relatively affordable device.

I love how many here will constantly use superdata for evidence. You would think the amount of times their figures have been lowered and still wrong, would have been enough evidence to not use them.
Don't think they ever came within 10% margin of error.
