As much as I love VR right now, I know that the current devices are not ready for the mainstream. The set up is too complex, the resolution is too low, and the framerates are still too low. I think the price is actually fine, I believe it will actually go in both directions in time, where current level tech will fall and high end gear will go even more. The value in this tech is greater than any other piece of technology so far, and once the content, the hardware, and the OS's are sorted out, people will pay for a doorway to an unlimited universe.
Right now it is basically an industry wide, open market beta test or R&D period. Companies from every field are seeing how they can use the tech to expand their business, market their products, train their employees, and so much more. All of the trial and error stuff going on right now will make sure that once we reach the point where the hardware is ready for the mainstream, the software and the OS's will be super intuitive.
I think sales for all of the devices are doing well right now, and as more and more conent arrives, and the prices drop, more of the core tech and gaming market will climb in and give it a shot. I think we are about a decade away from VR/AR being part of peoples day to day lives. I fully expect the biggest franchises of the 2030's to be VR/AR experinces.
Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.
