It's disgusting that people do that.
But that's the combination of alcohol and what people do when they are in big groups (which is often some weird shit they would never do when alone)
He also didn't try to hurt her (the body slam was an accident) and only thought he would be funny but since stuff like that isn't funny and still an assault I hope he will get his punishment.
They just all run away without trying to make sure she is ok or correct the situation. All of this, from her coming into the party to them laughing and escalating to running is so strange and backward from how society should be. A lot of interesting social information here.

Easy there, judge Dredd. One thing is self defense, another one is rushing to murder. Pretty sure you can't really bring weapons into a public pool and if you sneak one in, she'll be in just as much trouble.
