There's not much difference in between those these days. Bernie.....

Bernie's not a socialist, he's a social democrat. I don't know why he called himself that.

Le pen better win or France gets more of the same again.

I'd prefer the same over racists, Islamophobic, bigots who will gladly suck Putin's cock like they are in the US. Le Pen is waiting in line right after Trump for that. But if Macron loses, I'm sure Putin will plant more terrorist attacks in France.

Hows Trump sucking Putins cock? In the last couple of months he showed more of the same in foreing policy, including bombing Russias ally in Syria which Obama hasnt even done before. And how is Putin resposible for ISIS? There is various sources that proof how ISIS was funded by the US at least earlier on, but not one that claims Russia did.

So you prefer the same over racists? I am pretty sure this how a lot of Libyans, Ukrainians and Syrians have felt before their countries were infiltrated by the West and Gulf countries, with sponsored opositions etc.

What a pity, that Melenchon didn't made it to the final round.

A lightning Ipsos poll of second round voting intentions sees Macron beating Le Pen by 62%-38%:

Woah, the support for Le Pen under the conservatives is much stronger than I expected.

He called himself that because he believes in socialism but calls himself a democrat. They're blending.

Hollande was doing a great job as President. I would have voted for Hollande in favour of a great President that has served France well. Gullible people are easily manipulated by lies and misinformation spread by fake news on social media.

Hollande was a terrible president who did the exact opposite of what he promised to do (well, his promises were based on lies and obvious mistakes, so...), did it poorly on top of that, and single handedly killed one of the 2 biggest and most historic French parties. He never did anything good. He will stay in the history books as the only president unable to run again at the end of his mandate, and it's well deserved.

No, he believes in welfare capitalism. Socialism would result in the elimination of capitalism, he just wanted to reform it.

So are the 2 close runner ups left leaning? If so, it should be an easy win for Macron and Europe.

Fillon is center-right, Melenchon is left and Hamon (who got 6%) is center-left, Dupont-Aignan (who got nearly 5%) is right as far as I can tell.

So basically Macron will a huge majority of Melenchon voters, nearly all Hamon voters and the majority of Fillon voters.
Le Pen will get a decent slice of Fillon voters and a huge majority of Dupont-Aignan voters.

At least that is what should happen, if I put the politicians in their right camps.

Usually things are more complicated than a simple left-right-scheme shows. For many, especially in the Melencon-camp, both candidates are unelectable.

It doesn't matter what he says but I'm sure he's an actual socialist who wants to change the US more into it.

and yet the lightning poll a few posts above shows that 62% of Melenchon voters would vote for Macron in the second round and only 9% for Le Pen, while 29% are still undecided. Even if from all these other camps 50% will vote for the Le Pen and this is already very very very unlikely, he would still win as he already won the first round.

Considering his liberal points of view on most things,  he seems like anyone else who's in college or fresh out of one. So yes he's pretty sheltered on some things.
