True, but Im sure they could work something out with MS. I mean there are third party games on the NES Mini as well.

Yeah maybe MS will allow it, they seem chummier these days. That said MS might still be upset that Nintendo basically killed that GoldenEye HD that was supposed to come to XBox 360.

Well it did come out on all platforms eventually and it didnt do too well, so I dont think they are very upset.

No actually I'm talking about a remake of the actual original N64 GoldenEye game. MS was working on it in HD but needed Nintendo's permission and the deal was Nintendo would get GoldenEye on the Wii Virtual Console. Nintendo said no, and that basically killed it, because Ninendo owns the rights to the game's code.

Is this going to be another get-rich-quick scheme for scalpers?

I know, but Activision remade it later. It didnt do well, so thats why I dont think MS is that mad about it.

Because people won't even attempt to buy it assuming it's out of stock anyway.

No, it's because Nintendo will price it higher this time around and the SNES wasn't a phenomenon in its original form, so demand won't reach the same levels.

Going further with this and using Ka-pi's wish for a N64 Mini, that one would probably have a hard time selling out.

You forgot about revisionist gaming media, though. I'm sure there are enough young people out there who actually think Yoshi's Island is superior to Zelda II because they never played either game. Many people swallowed the kool-aid that Gamecube and N64 are superior to the NES (and "3D over 2D OMG!") and could be tricked into buying into the N64 Mini.

OT: I'm not sure if I'll buy the SNES Mini. The Switch will play all those SNES games in handheld mode when Christmas comes around and I like to have my games in one place.
