The joke was only aimed at women who supported #ADayWithoutWomen.

And what's wrong with women supporting that? Women are still being paid less than men, and they do much more housework than men, so it's fair that they should protest unequal treatment.

They're just making the earnings gap bigger when they don't work, so it's actually counterproductive.

What was the joke that got him in trouble?

Here's what a "respected" news site had to say about it:

Since when is the IB Times respected?

People can support whatever they want and boycott whatever they want.  But when they actively try and ruin people because they hold a different opinion or make a simple joke they are ridiculous.  If conservatives start responding in kind  (Target?) this country is going to get really, really messy.

Not if they can organize a successful strike.

I respect his willingness to stick up for his opinions, but this is the same person who called people who criticized Mass Effect 3's ending as entitled brats.

... he didn't  call them entitled brats for criticizing the ending. He called them entitled brats for demanding a "better one". Video game developers are free to make the game they want to make. People as consumers are free to buy them. Mass Effect 3's ending was and remains 100% up to the people who made that game. The fans of that series don't "deserve" a "better" ending to that game because it is in no way up to them and never was, the same way that fans of a musician have no right to demand that musican change the last 30 seconds of a song, or fans of a painter have no right to demand a painting featuring a house to have a red door instead of a blue one, or how fans of an author have no right to demand that the author change the ending of a novel.

Video game developers are artists. They are beholden to no fan for creating the art they want to create. Not ever.

They have to get all other women on board if that goal is to be met, but #ADayWithoutWomen was not supported by all women.

The true punchline to the joke that got so many people crying on social media? Colin ends up with 4500 Patrons and $30k per month less than 24 hours after launching his project.

it's a bit different to crack such a joke on international women's day, which is all about respect for women - it means he has none

No, it means he made a joke.  One that I heard 50 other people make on that day.  Many of which also made jokes at guys' expense on the same day.  PC is out of control.

only an immature brat can't hold back their sexist jokes for the duration of one special day to atleast keep the appearance of an inkling of respect
