I respect his willingness to stick up for his opinions, but this is the same person who called people who criticized Mass Effect 3's ending as entitled brats.

... he didn't  call them entitled brats for criticizing the ending. He called them entitled brats for demanding a "better one". Video game developers are free to make the game they want to make. People as consumers are free to buy them. Mass Effect 3's ending was and remains 100% up to the people who made that game. The fans of that series don't "deserve" a "better" ending to that game because it is in no way up to them and never was, the same way that fans of a musician have no right to demand that musican change the last 30 seconds of a song, or fans of a painter have no right to demand a painting featuring a house to have a red door instead of a blue one, or how fans of an author have no right to demand that the author change the ending of a novel.

Video game developers are artists. They are beholden to no fan for creating the art they want to create. Not ever.
