Sony already announced they are going 3rd party. PS Now will be streaming PS4 games to PC in the next few months. In time we should have Sony games on basically every device that has Netflix. Not sure how much more 3rd party they can get. Unless you want them to stop making their own hardware altogether.

How well works this with input lag? I'm not sure that works well if you haven't the best online.

Sure in terms of power but that changes the argument from "Sony should go 3rd party" to "PC's are better than consoles." You're basically saying every console manufacturer should go third party if that's the case.

There are advantages a console has over PC for gaming.

What are these advantages? I know for the argument of simple playing, but with modern PCs and Steam and the like gaming on PC is easy as never before.

Then Nintendo should go PC too (although probably mobile is an even better fit for them). MS really cannot do much. They don't have the means to control the PCs anymore. If they'd try anything, it only would them make look bad.

It's a no-brainer for the graphics whores to get the very best graphics on PC.

And considering the trend of MS and Sony consoles becomig faux-PCs, coupled with Valve's push to make Steam a couch-and-TV-friendly experience, they really aren't offering the advantages of consoles anymore.

Can you think of any real reason why I'm wrong? Because, hatevver, Sony, MS, Nintendo could all go to PC. I just long for Horizon that send my thoughts this path. And if you really think about it, PC-releases only have advantages. At least I cannot think of disadvantages yet, and you didn't provide any too.
