At this point in time, I think it could go either way. DQ has had good numbers in Japan for some time and it's still popular, so it may have an edge over Splatoon, which is not only new, but will be launching on a console with still a small base. The numbers for Spla2n could remain the same or lower from the 1st title. It's hard to say currently.

Won't the handheld and console versions of DQXI be different? If so then a lot of people may double dip.
I will go with DQ XI on this one. 5.5 million for all 3 combined vs 2.8 million for Splatoon 2. Either way both will be huge successes.

Yeah Cant see Splatoon 2 actually beat out a game coming to three platforms that will have a userbase exceeding 100+ million consoles more than Splatoon 2 will have.
