You are right, exclusives do usually have more care put into them.
But that spreads to third party exclusives, not only first party, so it's not necessarily because they need to sell consoles, but because they are more focused projects, IMO.

There is plenty of great third party multiplats just as well, but the proportion of them compared to exclusives seems to be really way lower.

Yeah third partie exclusives too especially if they are working with the console maker to develop the game.

I've just finished Horizon yesterday and am currently in a rotation between Nier: Automata (which I expect to finish within the week), Tales of Berseria (which I'm barely started on), and Breath of the Wild. Let's be friends!

This are my most wanted games:

Horizon

Tales of Berseria

Nioh

Nier Automata

Persona 5

Only reason i havent bought Nioh and Nier Automata is because i had to replace my Dualshock 4 and buy some other things for my house with the money i saved up for them, if that wasnt the case they would be on my shelf right now.

Obviously Zelda Breath of the Wild is there too but im not gonna be able to play it any time soon.

As to what I'm most looking forward to that I don't have/isn't out now, I think like Elsinore, Tacoma, and Cosmic Star Heroine are at the top of my list, though I am also interested in Persona 5, Detroit, The Last of Us Part II, Arms, Cuphead, Splatoon 2, and Mario Kart 8: Deluxe Edition. Some of that stuff is out now, but I can't afford it all right away!

That's cute; you're the one who made the claim...

And I told you what I saw. You were the one not believing. Here is proof:

http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/grand-theft-auto-iv/critic-reviews?dist=positive

Oh, hey! Lookie what I found when I filtered it by publication on GTAIV anyways.

http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-360/grand-theft-auto-iv/critic-reviews?sort-by=publication&dist=positive
http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/grand-theft-auto-iv/critic-reviews?sort-by=publication&dist=positive

1UP listed three times across them. AceGamez on XB360 and PS3. AtomicGamer on all three. Eurogamer on all three. EGM on XB360 and PS3.

I think that's enough.

The BuShA owns all!

I personally don't see how any game that regularly dips below 20 fps when played in tv mode can be given a perfect score. Not saying it's not an incredible game, but frame rate dips alone have caused score decreases with other games consistently.

Half-Life 2 PC 31 81 85

Currently, GTA IV on the X360 is the single game SKU with the most perfect scores at 48.  LoZ: Breath of the Wild is second at 45 and has a chance to take that lead.  LoZ: Ocarina of Time has the highest percentage of perfect scores with 82% though it is skewed by circumstance.  The highest percentage under the modern era is still a LoZ title.  62.5% of all Breath of the Wild scores are perfect.

I may try combining SKUs but a lot of reviews are copy/paste between platforms so they'd have to be tracked down and added as a single score.

Just curious but I am almost positive that TLOU should be up there right? It definitely got more than 7 perfect scores on PS3. I know for a fact that it is over 40  or was there some other metric for this chart. And UC2 had like what 40? No less that 30 or 35 I am sure. .......Never mind I see it....top 20 highest rated games or fall time

Other games with similar technical issues have also gotten perfect scores. Shadow of the Colossus and Witcher 3 are examples that come to mind.

The point is publications don't always care too much about performance.

It's currently 48 for GTAIV on 360 vs 45 for BOTW on Switch. I doubt it'll get many more reviews but we'll see in a few months, I suppose.

As for GTAV on all platforms: wouldn't that be multi-dipping, though? I'm under the impression that some sites would review each version, lending to a duplicative effect and inflating the overall count. It'd be one thing if somebody already separated out the unique reviews from each site. Has that been done?

I skimmed over it and double dipping is surprisingly low. It's not a standard practice to review for both platforms. My rough estimate would put GTAIV at well over 60, maybe even 70.

That wouldn't really be fair that way as obviously the number of reviewers will be a lot higher. These should be compared per single platform only.
