I was not able to secure a preorder for the Switch and I sure as heck don't want spoilers to ruin it for me.  I have no choice but to experience this title on the Wii U.  I will most likely double dip, as I do with some titles as soon as the opportunity arises.  Congrats to ya'll Switch preadopters (lucky ducks), and please don't rub it in.

I'm getting it on the Wii U too. I look forward to the gamepad capabilities also. I think the Switch will sell very well and most people will get it for that system.

hey, It's not like the wii u version is 8 bit or something. you can play on the gamepad or on a tv so you have the portable option too (inside your house) If I had to play it on the wii u I would do it too, zelda is like an event.

I'll double dip when I can get my hands on a Switch. Probably later this spring. But I hope the Wii U version isn't riddled with performance issues. From what we've seen so far, it seems like it will be fine. But I wish some previews would be more specific about that version. All we hear about is the Switch version, which is understandable since it's for a hot new console and all that. But for those who couldn't secure one for launch and had to pick the Wii U version, we deserve to know these details as much as those who will play the Switch version.

i'm getting zelda for the wii u on the launch too and in july i will go to new york and i will buy my switch with zelda, disgaea 5, mario kart 8 deluxe and maybe arms :)

On the bright side, you can use the pro controller, gamepad, or a wii remote. The game may also become a Nintendo Select one day (probably not). Even then, it may go on sale one day for the switch.

I'm gonna play on Wii U, and I don't think it's the end the world. Besides, gotta make my Wii U worthwhile before it dies

Yup im gonna dust off my Wii-U and give this game all the attention it needs, the switch can wait, we have mario kart and zelda and splatoon on the WIi-U so there is no reason for Wii-U owners to jump in early.

Hopefully Nintendo will give a quick pice cut when the next must-have nintendo titles will come out, ideally they will release a handheld version of the switch with no detachable controllers and no docking station, that would be a must have for me lol

Same here, will be skipping the Switch launch date since I can get Zelda for Wii U :p
