That's great to hear, but at the same time I'm trying to keep an even keel, going into the game with no hype and expectations. I don't want to overhype the game and set myself up for any kind of dissapointment. That will make it that much sweeter when the game does likely blow my mind.

Kinda stepping on your own point there...

Key word is "likely" :P

But I know, there's an ongoing conflict in my head heh

Really? I've seen a ton of hate for Final Fantasy X, more than VII and VIII.

What are the reasons for the hatred towards FFX you've read?
For example in FF8's case the Draw System is often referenced. For FFVII plot holes and characters. For XIII the extrem linearity. Etc.

No world map in FFX - THAT was the big one, I think, and only real complaint.

I can't take his praise very seriously when he proclaims Zelda "Gaming's best loved and greatest series" simply because he's judging the game as a clear Zelda fanboy.

But the previews in general seem to be extremely positive which is always good to hear.

i know what you mean, but well, many do view LOZ as the greatest game series. i would put LOZ and GTA next to each other. NO other series even comes close for me, not RE, FF. in 20 years we may be able to add TLOU franchie and maybe RDR time will tell.

The Zelda series is one of the most consistently high rated franchise in the industry. So it's debatable if it's factual or not, or if it's simply coming from a biased point of view.

There's no doubt that Zelda is easily one of thee best franchises of all time but the way he worded it sounded biased to me. He passed it off as a fact as if there are no other franchises scoring consistently high like Mario, MGS, and recently Uncharted (which I personally don't like anymore)

From that perspective, Uncharted definitely can't be in company of Zelda, Mario and MGS (also MGS critically acclaimed series from PS1) because it's out there only 2 genes, and its seems they already finished with Uncharted franchise.

Bunch of nostlgic reviewers

If the game gets bad reviews, Nintendo is crap, if the game gets great reviews it's all about nostalgia because the effort doesn't deserve the score.

Nintendo should stop developing games!

This true, we already seeing comments from some people saying that BotW getting so much praise because nostalgia and the point that "even" Skyward Sword received 92 score trying to point like Skyward Sword is some crap game even majority of them don't have clue about that game.

I wouldn't put GTA anywhere near Zelda. GTA to date hasn't been able to nail a single gameplay mechanic. Not fighting, platforming, shooting, driving and or flying. Most secondary quests have been boring and repetitive.

Zelda on the other hand has had amazing combat, horse riding, variety of quests, much better exploration and pretty much nailed most of not all implemented gameplay mechanics.

GTA is like CoD, it's sells on brand power and marketing more than quality of the game itself.

Rant over :p

Well maybe GTA does sell on brand power but in fairness, gta3 vice city and SA were fantastic games back in the day, and even if you personally don't appreciate GTA5 you must be able to appreciate the sheer effort that went into that game. So yeah for me GTA4 and 5 lacked something but I can't deny there likeability for many people.

This is great news! I still cant decide which version to go for.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

I got a flashback to warm water under a red bridge.  (not sure people know the movie :p)

Goddamn it. I was just starting to give up on Nintendo again.

It seems like the long wait is worth it, I'm really happy to see Nintendo finally pouring their resources and talent into a massively ambitious title! Incoming monster hit!
