Joking aside though, the worrying thing is I'm fairly sure that the SSD had been at 7.1 or 7.0 when I got it... but that was about 1-2 years ago now and I use my PC a lot, it's a 240GB Kingston SSD Now V300 which was cheap as chips but I mostly just have Windows/WoW/Overwatch on it, which means that it's almost constantly in use, 16GB of ram though so no swap file in use on the thing to save some Read/Writes (have a 512mb swap on a secondary drive just for legacy programs which sometimes look to use a part of it just because... old)

Which SSD you using which gives a 7.6 btw? I'm considering a full overhaul on my PC in the near future, been keeping an eye on various bits and pieces, want it done as cheap as possible (even with a 10k budget lol, I'm still just a tight fucker)

Apparently the last time I read the test was three years ago. So I re-ran it. Everything stayed the same but SSD dropped to a 7.5

It is a Samsung SSD PM810 2.5'' Quite out of date I'm sure.

Yeah I do think that SSDs lose some of their performance as time goes on as well, on a more drastic scale than other hardware.

Still though, easily imo one of the best QoL upgrades to any PC is an SSD and they're so affordable now it's a sin not to have your OS on one, like I said that kingston 240gb V300 SSD was about €100 when I picked it up, now you can get it for around the 60 mark.

I said microsoft because they have the least conflict and for some reason Nintendo always gets hate (whether it's paid online or "nintedo is for kids" and PC assholes always say PC MASTER RACE

I'm mainly an Xbox fan but I usualy end up with all consoles. Even though I prefer Xbox I wouldn't consider myself as agressive like one suggested but to me conflict everywhere on forums is accurate.

And it makes total sense when you think about it.

I don't mind Nintendo as a platform. But some of their fans do grate.
I.E. There was a Nintendo fan on this forum who tried to convince me the Wii U was more powerful than the PC because of the eDRAM.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

What CPU and how much Ram do you have?

The amount of RAM present isn't really what is giving this 7.1 score here but, the processor and memory are listed here.

Have a 10% overclock on that CPU for the better part of 2 years now, PC still runs nice and cool and hasn't blown up yet!

Considering it's a CPU from November 2006 it's still performing rather well but yeah in comparison to the June 2013 GTX 760 inside next to it.. it's a bit of a relic of days gone and is the root of any games issue that I have with my PC atm.

 

Edit - lol'd not sure if should be happy or sad that my CPU has 1/7th the Transistor count of the 760... wonder could I just remove the CPU entirely and run all processing through the graphics card instead. (please note, humour!)

Finally, the conclusion: PC, Nintendo and Xbox fans all seem to gang up on Sony fans while generally leaving each other alone. In my humble opinion, this is because there's a lot of envy going around because all Sony does is win.

At least on the Nintendo side it makes sense. 



The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?
