Too bad paid online kills thé whole interesting of this game

Its going to be free when it launches. And it seems like the price is very good. If it cost $50 here in Australia ($70 for PSN/ $80 for XBL) That is like $5 per month. In comparsion to that price:

- That is one Medium burger meal at mcdonalds

- 1/3 of the Price of Amiibos

- 2 Sushi rolls

You get what im saying?

Kinda sad not all the stages from the 1st game are coming back. Aside from that, not much new and interesting info.

Ugh, just let amiibo die already. I already have to buy this game then pay to play it, so no way in hell am I buying overpriced on-disc DLC on top of that. Also disappointed that the singleplayer campaign is gonna be short. That may have been fine for the first game but I expect more out of a sequel. The online being improved sounds good, but we'll see if they aren't just saying that to justify the pay to play. I've gotten very familiar with the original game's online nuances so I'll be able to tell if there's a significant improvement or not. Unfortunately my negativity continues, because while returning stages seems good, it depends on which stages as not all of them are great, and already we have the second worst map confirmed to return. GG if they also bring back Flounder Heights.

I loved Splatoon on the Wii U but thought the game really lacked a solid local multiplayer. Here's hope the 4-player mode on TV won't be gimped - no balloon shooting but an actual 4v4 match with bots. I doubt many people outside of Japan have enough Splatoon-loving friends to play 8-player local with everyone using their own Switch units.

For 2 - 2.5$ at month?

Keep dreaming.

Please make the campaign longer, 4 bosses is just too short, make it 10 or so and you have a great campaign, or at least add some replayability to the story levels and some sort of Horde Battle mode

It has 5 bosses, not 4. :P But yeah, a horde mode would be awesome. Bots too. Not really expecting them, but hey, a man can dream. :P

- Single player campaign will have around the same amount of content as the first game

After putting online behind a paywall, the single player would be the only saving grace for the game, and they skimp on it?

Guess I'll skip on the game till it reaches their perceived single player value.

The multiplayer will be free for the first month or so. After that is probably gonna be like 2.5$ month, I mean, I hate to pay online but to pay that a few months to play Splatoon online seems worth. Also, most online shooters have 4-5 hours campaign (if they have campaign) and have a more expensive paywall on consoles, they sell tons and tons.
