They are not going to use that money to give away free stuff.
They earned a huge ton of money with Wii and DS, and we never saw any of it getting back to players, they didn't even invest it in getting or developping more game. All that money just vanished in the air. So you can expect the same with that online sub money.
But thanks for the laughs.
Into a safe, stable and secure online service. After all, that's what gets paid for. When this is secured, you can start giving back to the buyers of the switch with incensitives to buy more, like giving free games (even if it's only VC titles) or producing games tailor-made to the service.

They would probably reinvest some of it into maintaining and improving the online infrastructure, but I could also see them using it to help off-set development costs of games.
Pay for good servers and enhanced online functionalities aswell as developing the multiplayer for the NES/SNES games (?)

Pay dividends for shareholders of course. Lol, are people really suggesting Nintendo or any other company would create a subscription model and treat the users like investors. Giving back, lol they are not going to give back anything. But if a smokescreen like giving few games or some other "presents" montly is enough then job well done MS/Sony/Nintendo/etc.
lol
I cannot imagine toilet-free life.
Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

Hmm, this is Nintendo. They are the kings of saving up money and not wasting anymore than they have to, so I don't think they will just throw money away on dlc (more costly dlc and not the typical free dlc they dish out, I mean). The 3rd party one could be the only logical option knowing their history. They will drop the console price when it needs it, and not a moment sooner, which I doubt will be in its first year.
I don't currently manage a business yet alone Nintendo's so I wouldn't know where to start. Also this is one of those things where you can't just assume that subscription revenue is used for anything but online.

| Pyro as Bill said: 10m subscribers isn't unreasonable given how important online is to Minecraft, Fifa, Mario Kart, Splatoon and Smash and the fact it's portable online too. (PSN 21m June '16, XBL 48m Jan '16) That's half a billion dollars at $50/yr. Assuming Nintendo doesn't just give it all to shareholders and decides to use the cash for our benefit, where should it go? DLC - Nintendo could give members DLC for Smash, Kart, Splatoon and any future online games free of charge. Price cut - They could drop the price of the console to boost sales/userbase in the hope that 3rd parties might take notice. Moneyhat - $500,000,000 could go a long way in persuading 3rd parties to port games to the system or steal exclusivity. Other - Keep servers up for 20 years? Host real world tournaments? Make 10 Mario Kart players a week a millionaire? |
Again, that XBL figure is for Xbox Live Silver, not the paid Gold version.
Their paid Gold subs are way below PS+.
I dont think Nintendos sub service will be nearly as successful. Less incentive for far fewer people to sub.
