Forums - Gaming Discussion - Have you ever imported a game? (What was your first)

I've tried to import 999 for the DS multiple times, but everytime something happened and they cancelled my order. The risks of ordering online.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Yes, from Austria, because it was either censored in Germany or not sold like Dying Light and Mortal Kombat X.

Intel Core i7 8700K | 32 GB DDR 4 PC 3200 | ROG STRIX Z370-F Gaming | RTX 3090 FE| Crappy Monitor| HTC Vive Pro :3

My first two imported games.

Japan version:

PAL version:

The Japan version was $40 while PAL version was $30 sealed, that was back in 2009 before retro gaming nasty business coming.

Not a game but console. Crystal Edition Xbox and controller from Canada. We didn't get that one in the states.

...to avoid getting banned for inactivity, I may have to resort to comments that are of a lower overall quality and or beneath my moral standards.

I don't know which one was first, but I "imported" a DBZ game for the SNES(Super Famicom) and Pokemon Gold for the Gameboy. Both were bootlegs that claimed were based in Japan but the stuff came from Hong Kong, one of those was the first. I found a more repitable shop later and I got Bahamut lagoon from Square for the SNES/SF and Dragon Drive for the Gamecube. I don't usually import because it is a tad pricy.

Monster Hunter G with controller and Sengoku Basara on Wii. Two bussin titles. I later got Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes as well.

Didn't understand the menus or what they were saying. Once I figured out the menus, already knew how to read mahjong tiles, I was good. Gave my 17 year old peen a workout.

Oh you poor soul you.

70€ well spent. Even though the battle system in the demo was quite different from the finished game. For example it didn't have the auto option yet.

BTW after that I imported FFXIII from Japan and FFXIII-2 as well.

It's okay, we still like you.

I always import games, I live in India and with taxes the prices are so high that importing the game is actually cheaper, even my 3ds is imported.

(Pokemon black 2 was the first)
