VGC has Wii Party U as one of Wii U's best selling games in Japan. The market exists, actually.

Problem is that as fun as the game looks, it's kind of hard to market. It's the kind of game that I think a lot of people would buy if they tried, but not a lot are going to try it at the price. Nintendo should have just taken the hit and bundled it. Not necessarily because the game isn't worth it, but because they want Switch owners to have this and show it off.

But then again, if it was bundled people would be complaining that Nintendo should have taken it out to drop the price xD

The problem is, we don't know how much content is has, so we don't know if it's worth its price.
But even if it has enough content, I don't think many people will buy it for this price. They will probably pack it with the console.
It might be a fun game though. Not a great game, but just a fun party game.

$40 for this game is a rip-off.
Have seen free smartphone games which had more content than 1, 2 Switch.
