You're right, the Xbox360 list looks identical or slightly worse.

 Oh well, I blame the HD scene in general. They make out 1080 to be "true HD" and pretty much overrate it. What until something like 1440p comes along, and then 1080p will be the 720p. They've bragged up 1080 too much. Hell, I think most HD programming(i.e. DirecTV) is in 720p, isn't it?

It's thanks to multiple factors:

-128 bit memory interface
-8 Raster Operators (vs 16 in the normal 7800GTX)
-256MB of RAM available directly to the GPU (the other 256MB would have too much latency to use it as a frame-buffer)



Because increasing resolution to maximum (currently 1080p AFAIK) costs a lot, and only a tiny, tiny minority of potential buyers care.

If there was a magic button that developers could press to make their games run equally well in HD at no extra cost, then I'm sure they'd do so, but as things are they have to decide on their priorities.

Diverting resources from other stuff to increase resolution is rightly pretty low for most developers.

I hope you're joking.

You can't magically code around hardware limitations to that degree.

Saying that current PC cards (and possibly even the now outdated 7800gtx, I have to look at its specs) have higher graphics capabilities than the RSX isn't fanboyism, it's fact.



You also must remember, most of those game had the 360 as the lead console, so if the 360 can't do full HD, they aren't going to spend extra time and money making the PS3 do full HD.

Fanboy words? You even know what latency or a raster is? Can't you stand someone saying something about the PS3?

You have to understand that the PS3 has limitations too. The Cell doesn't gives it some sort of magical powers that overcome any technical limit.

And we will see about Wardevil. Want to make a bet about it? Something like "Wardevil will not look better than all games this generation"
