Serious of course. I wasn't counting in Virtual Console, if that's what you mean. It's definately fan service, but it would be nice to have games with tight arcade gameplay and fresh content - both of what Nintendo is the most famous for.

There's pretty much nothing for a Nintendo fan - Look up the top ten best selling games on Wii U here on this site and there you have it. Your typical Nintendo games that fit the typical Nintendo fan.
tight arcade gameplay - What about Splatoon, MK8, Smash, The Wonderful 101, Bayonetta, DKCTF, YWW, SM3DW, Starfox 0, Pokken Tournament, Hyrule Warriors? And hell yes, even Devil's Third. All of those have awesome gameplay (some of those may be HARD, but still very good).

So this is the part when we start throwing TEH GAMEZ around.
Smash Bros and Hyrule Warriors actually are the good ones on the list. HW is more like a traditional Zelda than anything from Aonuma and Smash is good, even if not quite on par with Brawl. The attack controls are pretty retarded in HW, but they still work fine.
MK8 does not have awesome gameplay, it's quite the opposite, it's the gameplay (and battle) that ruins the game. If you love Mario Kart, you likely dislike MK8.
Donkey Kong TF not only has lame content with the "ice" theme, but the gameplay is full of scripted events. It's gameplaywise to DKC what Ducktales Remastered is to Ducktales.
So, who is SM3DW made for? Kids, not Nintendo fans. I wouldn't call it to have tight arcade gameplay, even if it has it moments.
Bayonetta is rated 18+ and Bayonetta 2 16+, so there's this problem with the age rating. The thing with Nintendo is, that it makes AAA games that are suitable for kids, as well as adults. However, I think the biggest problem with Bayonetta is the boring gameplay trailers. I tried the demo and it actually had good gameplay (you never had guessed from the videos).
Splatoon - this is a game with fresh content, but it tries to shove the gamepad up your ass. Good with the controls is that you don't need to play dual analog if you don't want to, but that's just about all you can choose. This would be a good game with good controls.
Pokken Tournament has at least this retarded 2-player where one player is forced to use TV screen and the other using the gamepad. This would be a great 4,99 game, not 49,90. Fighting games are nothing without good multiplayer. If you have the option (like I do) to plug in Mortal Kombat on SNES, you really have to think twice which one you're going to play.
Starfox 0 is one of the controller problematic games. I only played the demo (in this one too) and it lacks the arcade-type controls.
Wonderful 101 and YWW I know nothing about (don't actually know what game the YWW is).
The content in the Wii U games is rehashed - even if NSMBU dod not have problems with gameplay, it's rehashing the content from previous NSMB games. I already played NSMB, NSMBW and NSMB2, where do I need NSMBU. And Nintendo went even further with the Super Mario Maker when it comes to rehashing content.
Look, everything on Wii U is just a rehash, gimmicky and/or do not have decent controls (at least for arcade gameplay).
The Nintendo fan expects fresh content with arcade gameplay, instead of these "FIFA/COD sim" yearly upgrades.
