Heck PS4 already has over 300 titles with mostly positive reviews. Wii's lackluster library is really not debatableat all.

Yes it is debatable, just because you don't think there were a good number of good games on the console doesn't mean we all have to think the same you know? The console has some of the best games of the gen and even of the history, games you couldn't find on any other console btw, and for the price of the console it offered you a great value since the beggining.

It had some good exclusives sure, but you need more than that, ultimately it's about the overall library not just a bunch of exclusives.

An here's the problem Wii had, look at the top 10 highest rated IPs of last generation:

Out of those the number available on each console:

Wii: 1

360: 6

PS3: 9

If you go down the list and get into top 20, or top 50, or top 100 Wii still runs into this similar problem.

The library of Wii is objectively bad unless you're a hardcore Nintendo fan.

It's funny how all these things (Metascore, sales, number of games, etc.) were all used by the anti-Playstation camps to criticize Sony and PS3, last gen; Now that all of these are in PS4's favor, they've suddenly become irrelevant to those same groups. Funny how that works...

Well it was either the Playstation 4, the Xbox One, or the Wii U.  So yeah, many will prefer this with a grain of salt.  I, for one, look at hand-held gaming devices as a seperate entity along with PC as well.  Does that mean they don't rock the charts?  Of course they do, but this article is a feather in the hat for Playstation 4 fans.  Thankfully there are plenty of feathers to go around for everyone as we have the ability to enjoy gaming in so many formats.  

Birthright and Conquest are different games, no matter how you try to put it.

Objectively bad my ass, half of the games on that list don't deserve to be there to begging with, Metacritic is not God, look the shitty MGSV with a 95 on XBO, that's"Objective"? lol

 Mario Galaxy 1, Mario galaxy 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles are already 3 of the best games ever made and you don't need to be a fucking Nintendo fan to see it, only a gamer with criteria.

Also, is lovely how you choose to forget than Twilight Princess should be on that list too as it has the same exact score as half of the includd games, very "objective"...

You can't objectively say a game is good or bad... but Metacritic does lend some credibility to subjective claims. So while you're allowed to say something like MGSV is shitty, I'm sure you would be upset to know that I consider both Galaxy games to also be pretty shitty (Mario on King Kai's planet- yay).

But would I still count them as good games in an argument like this? Yes, because I clearly have the unpopular opinion. Likewise, saying MGSV is shitty is fine, but it's still a top tier AAA game. 

Wasn't that due to how those metrics were used in the gen before that?

On the shovelware issues, out of around about 1000 games, 60 scored lower than 50 on PS4.

Anyway if it does have more shovelware, PS4 still has more decently rated games than the other 'home' consoles and that's what really matters.

You can't downplay that.
