The shovelware can't still be largely on the Wii U; the Wii U has had virtually no games to speak of this year, shovelware or otherwise. Unless shovelware has completely disappeared from the planet Earth, it has to have gone somewhere else.

Of course it did, the winner gets all the shovelware, people wants to think that only happened with Wii but lol, here we clearly see it didn't.

No matter what you say PS4 got all games including all best games that are not coming to other platforms.

Except that Fire Emblem Fates made up 40% of it's top 10 best scoring games, nearly 20% of all of it's positively reviewed games, and it had zero games with a 90 or better.

It's really easy to have higher averages when A. You get a really small number of games. B. You release multiple versions of your best games at a time.

Hell, Pokemon and Fire Emblem Fates made up more than 10% of all games the 3DS got this year. That would be like Sony releasing 47 Uncharteds and Ratchet & Clanks this year.

Too be fair, the percentage of PS4 games that have scored well is wwwaaayyyy higher than the what the Wii had.

So does most of the "shovelware" go to PS4? Sure, but the situation isn't nearly as bad as it was for the Wii.

Where are you looking that? On Metacritic Wii has like +200 games with +75 lol

And that's without having nearly as many remasters or DLC counted as game like in the case of Ps4, also the indie scene was not at all that big then as it is today.

But I didn't mean the shovelware comment as something bad anyways, in fact I hope Switch is the next one to get all the shovelware.

3DS also finished with only 24 quality games, compared to 124 for the PS4, and 82 for XB1.

So yes 3rd party support still super important.

Anyway, only notable Sony game this year for me was UC4 KEY WORDS "FOR ME"

Ps4 average is higher though
