My personal desires are well met by it, though if MS could somehow add top tier RPG to their exclusive line up that would really put it over the top for me.

It's just about personal tastes really. Sony does a really good job of diversifying....but Naughty Dog aside, they're like a jack of all trades, master of none publisher to me. They make a lot of new games, and have a lot of studios that get a lot of freedom to mess about and do whatever, but at least to my tastes, they don't have a whole lot to show for it. For all the complaining I always see people do about "Oh MS are really just about Halo, Gears, and Forza..." to me I'm like, ya ok...maybe they are, but those games are respectively at the very top end of their respective genres in FPS; TPS, and racing. And since I love all three of those genres, those are pretty big must have games for me. If they had a top end RPG, they'd own a must have IP in every one of my favorite categories.

And it's interesting that Nintendo actually operate very much the same way as MS in regards to game development strategy, in that they also really only make the few games everyone knows they'll make (Mario, Zelda, Pokemon....), with very few new, risky IPs, but out of all the things they take flak for, that never really seems to be one of them. The only real difference here is that they've been in this longer than MS, and therefore, naturally, have a couple more staple franchises (not to mention studios) in their arsenal.

This same thing happened with the 360. Microsoft masks their internal inability to pump out exclusives. The first three years are awesome because they pay third party to mask it and then after seeing the losses they cut back on third party exclusives. While Sony only ramps up their exclusives count, Microsoft goes through a massive drought before the end.

I'm sure I'll find other games to play on my PC if MS for some reason decides to cut support, so I think I'll be fine either way.

Its an issue regardless of whether we choose to overlook it or not. I like playing my Xbox One more than my PS4 right now, but I am sure that will change as Sonys exclusive count gets bigger with internally made games. Given Microsofts track record, they start off really well but never close.

Watching to much Crapgamer has damaged you.

Best reviewer on youtube. Don't hate. Also, there is a reason why games don't look as good as their trailers all the time.

I'm sorry but can a mod permaban him? There's no hope left

XBox is doing well and XB1 is selling better than ever.

You will see some big software announcements for Scorpio, Phil Spencer said they wanted more exclusive types of software I believe. Wait until E3.

All I want is for Gears and Halo to get back on track. Not sure why MS have been slipping in these two franchises.

I agree with this statement. I love racing, wrpg, fps, and tps games the most. I do wish MS made a great WRPG game. I did like Fable/Fable 2 a lot and was okay with Fable 3. If MS made Fable 4 and if it just as good as Fable 2 they would have a great franchise in my top categories by far. I hope MS is listening to us about this.Or perhaps maybe scalebound will be a great game.

The announcements will be made to be best used on the scopio, but they are really no differen than the Xbox One offerings. You will see a pretty big leap in resolution if MS is correct though.

How do we know that is in game engine? You know these companies lie all the time right about games being run on their system. Killzone 2 ran into this situation before.

Because Naughty Dog's games are all in-engine. Precisely why you shouldn't make baseless accusations. Now move on!

I agree sorta.

Sony has

The last guardian
Dragon quest builders
World of final fantasy
Persona 5
Ace combat 7
Yakuza 0, 6 and kiwami
Ni no kuni 2
Last of us 2
Horizon zero dawn
Ni-Oh
Street fighter V
Gran turismo sport.

Meanwhile Xbox has the usual suspects like halo, gears, forza. Next year has crackdown, scalebound, and halo wars 2. Nothing much I really care about. There's Scorpio coming out but that's just a upgraded One, not a whole new console.

Switch looks far more appealing at this point.

Xbox is about US tastes. Most of what you mentioned up there are Japanese styled games and gameplay.

Kind of like how Quantum break, scale bound, crackdown 3, halo wars 2, and sea of thieves got delayed/announced 3 years early/shown at three E3s in a row (and sometimes earlier)?

Yep, but their games are actually right around the corner with actual GAMEPLAY trailers  and not just some CGI BS. Only AAA games from Sony coming out next year by the looks of it is GT sport and Horizon zero dawn. At least when MS showed those games they showed a bunch of games around the corner. I mean sony is actually advertising right now Spiderman and God of war 3 on t.v. when we know those games are 2018 at the earliest.

I'm not sure if you understood my post correctly, but the point I was getting across is that all of those games were delayed in addition to being prematurely announced 3 years before launch... Which is literally what you were just complaining about here

All the exclusive games they showed at psx won't be here for a while pretty much and will be 2018 at the EARLIEST. They always end up delayed or what not. Microsoft has deliver one of the best racers, sand box game, fighting game, third person and first person shooter. This year alone we gotten Quantum Break, Killer Instinct season 3, Forza Horizon 3, Gears 4, Recore and soon Dead Rising 4. That is pretty good and a lot better in my opinion than Sony had to offer this year. I liked uncharted 4 a lot , but didn't care for sf5 due to lack of content and terrible netcode/delay. Not sure how TLG is going to be, but it looks rather disappointing to be quite honest. And yes I know a lot of the xbox games are on the PC as well, but a lot of people don't view pc machines as viable gaming machines.

Over half the things they showed comes out next year lol

So let me reiterate the first half of my post: 5 AAA Microsoft exclusives got delayed this gen and all of those same games were announced AT LEAST 3 years before they have or will launch. If you can understand that, then take a look at the quote right ^^^^^^^ there.
