Forums - Nintendo - Image & Form Says Nintendo Isn’t “Skimping On Power” With Nintendo Switch!

What else can it be? Switch having custom Tegra X2 is pretty much confirmed. Tegra X2 isnt too bad, but it's definitely not as powerful as PSXB.
The only "better" thing that can happen is that Switch to use volta-based Tegra Xavier, announced by Nvidia in September, which has a pretty low chance to actually happen.

Its probably somewhere between WiiU and XB1.

I feel like it would be leaning more toward XB1 though.

Depends Teraflop wise 1.3 + 0.2 = 1.5 divided by two is 0.75, but due to some tricks and the hardware being newer it's a bit closer to Xone. The CPU in the Xone or PS4 isn't great but the Wii U its CPU was terrible. RAM is pretty much middle ground. So it leans a bit towards the Xone and has around 50%-65% of its power.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Nintendo skimped on the power. That's been Nintendo's MO for years now. At least as far as being a home console is concerned. Its just a response to the handheld mode. As a handheld its solid. As anything else it is not good.

Ah that's better.

I was worried this thread would be missing Nintendoom.

Are they really qualified to talk about the power of the system? All their slowpaced 2d games so far were lightweights only using a tiny part of the hardware power of any system, even of the 3DS.

I'm sure that the Switch has more than enough power for their next game... but that doesn't mean much.

There were lots of rumors that was close to X1 (under or above). And with the Switch trailer being released..... lots of the past rumors were true.

Somewhere around Tegra X1-X2. Says all of the reliable rumours.

I'm actually interested in finding out more about the CPU. Could it possibly be better than the CPUs in the PS4 and XB1?

If it's power you're looking for, I'd suggest you build a PC.
