Forums - Music Discussion - What Are You Listening to Right Now?

Some of the music I've been listening today (I'll post only links to avoid overloading the page with videos).

I'll keep it varied:

A band with one of the best gutturals in metal, in my opinion. Gears (Lamb of God).

A little bit of rock. Dos copas de más (Gritando en Silencio).

Gimme those trumpets! Riding the Fourth Wave (Streetlight Manifesto).

Two songs in juzzt one. What'd I Say, Parts 1 & 2 (Ray Charles).

Pulp Fiction meets violin. Misirlou (original by Dick Dale, played by Ara Malikian).

Violin meets Asia. La Campanella (composed by Paganini, played by Clara-Jumi Kang).

A piano goddess (unleashed mode from minutes 5-6 onwards). Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 (composed by Liszt, played by Valentina Lisitsa).

[Edit]

Some more. This time is mostly metal (different styles), with a couple of exceptions.

Russian people doing Russian stuff. Cossacks' lezginka (Otava Yo).

Paint It Black... but no Paint It Black. Marie douceur, Marie colère (Marie Laforêt).

The Witcher meets metal. Toss A Coin To Your Witcher (Dan Vasc).

Swing meets metal too. Balrog Boogie (Diablo Swing Orchestra).

And so does classical music (that Beethoven-ish solo...). Metal Heart (Accept).

And why not? Metal meets metal. Gift Of Pain (Metal Allegiance).

More metal, but not in the way you expect. Heist Ho! (instrumental version, Steam Powered Giraffe).

Back when music was really silly

The cheesiest moment of all music history can be found in the next song at 3:38

Well, the song itself is not really silly so much as the film scene it's most famous for - the greatest work of dark comedy ever, and controversial as fuck to this day.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I'm listening to this band right now, Dubioza kolektiv.

The people united will never... How did this end? Himna generacije

From the Balkans to America. U.S.A.

This song is a little bit illegal, but that's okay (funny song and video, but warning - it's kinda NSFW from 1:23 to 1:34). Free.mp3 (The Pirate Bay Song).

[Edit]

A bar where anything can happen. Kazu.

"Do you have an extra coin?" "Sure." Kokuz.

Hunting Season is done...

Some of the music I've been listening to lately.

Let's get a little gloomy first. Moonlight Sonata, 1st movement (composed by Beethoven).

And let's cheer up again! Morrigan (OMNIA).

A bit of girl power. Aulejas klezmers (Tautumeitas).

More girl power (but weirder). Rozy / Donbass (Dakh Daughters).

Gipsy power now. Od Ebra do Dunava (BGKO).

A song from a great film. Mesecina (Goran Bregovic).

And a song that's in another great film (and in an awesome ballet). Swan Song (composed by Tchaikovsky, played by the Berlin Philharmonic).

Oh, such a sexy, jazzy sound... Moanin' (Charles Mingus).

A guy that read the Bible at least twice. Super Taranta! (Gogol Bordello).

Never stop finger snapping! In Hell I'll Be In Good Company (The Dead South).

Live young, die old. Too Old to Die Young (Brother Dege).

Shall we dance? Disko Partizani (Shantel).

I'm mostly a lurker now.
