90% of the Kinect games I bought. Some worked decent. Some worked horribly. A few worked perfectly. In any event, the controls were usually an obstacle.

Oh, let me add Zack and Wiki. There was a sword fight at the end of that game that required precision. It succeeded in making me want to cut myself.

Indeed, f that final level. I never finished that game.
Loved the rest of it but it was also one of the biggest troll games I know. At some point I was stuck, determined not to give up kept looking and trying different things for 2 hours. I shall not use a hint! I finally caved in, bought a hint, "something done in the past prevents you from going further" Translation, you did something irreversible out of order and have been running around in a fail state for the past 2 hours, restart level. Ugh that game. It taught me a valuable lesson, just use a walkthrough when you get stuck, there are troll developers out there.

Every single shooter combined with gamepad controls. They range from OK to unplayable for me. When I'm playing shooters on consoles, it feels like the controls are my worst enemy that's also constantly present.

Inverted camera controls that can't be set to non-inverted are also pretty bad. They don't really ruin anything, but I really dislike them.

LittleBigPlanet feels too floaty for me. I mean, the controls don't really ruin it, but what could be a great game is 'just a bit of fun' because of the controls.

A lot of games from the 5th generation have some annoying control schemes. For example, I hate tank controls (Resident Evil etc.). I also recently replayed some Spyro games, and some levels don't really work well with the controls. Mainly it's the camera controls, but some things were also designed in a way where the slightly inaccurate controls of Spyro don't really shine. I really enjoy Spyro games otherwise, but sometimes the camera gets in the way and there's some missions and other situations where the controls don't work very well.

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops had a pretty horrible button configuration, if I recall correctly. I just couldn't play it for very long because of that, even though the game seemed pretty good. I don't remember exactly what was wrong with the button configuration, but I remember I didn't like it at all.

Angry Birds Star Wars on the Vita, lord knows why considering the Angry Birds Trilogy controls perfectly on the Vita, but Star Wars has touch controls which are far too sensitive anytime you come near the front or rear touch screen you are losing a bird, you have to hold the system by the absolute edges to not accidentally trigger the screen, also this feature can't be disabled.

Worst kicker of all of this... the touch screen controls are so completely unneeded that Angry Birds Star Wars is actually completely compatible with the PSTV using a dualshock 3 pad instead, while playing on the big screen the game is so much fun without the touch screen constantly wasting birds or just making it impossible to hold the system you're trying to play.

Seriously if you are a fan of the game type and have a Vita, get the trilogy but never ever get the Star Wars version of the title.

Kid Icarus Uprising.

Sonic generations. It was a decent game, but there is something with the engine, at least on the 360 that had it have a input delay long enough to make it annoying to me.

I'm sure theres more, but that is what i can think of atm. Input delay, fps and responsiveness are some of the things i value the most in a game.

There is an odd one i had happen recently, wich is not about controls, but Fire emblem fates got soured to me with the whole special edition thing. I just can't bring myself to play it anymore. I'm sure i will force myself to finish birthright (am like 8 chapters in), but i'm not feeling it the same way i did with awakening (much less path of radiance/radiant dawn).

Pikmin 3, why did they omit the C-stick function from the GC versions. :/

Smash 3DS also comes to mind. Why play that when you have the Wii U version with superior GC controls, or even the Gamepad.

But you're supposed to play Pikmin with motion controls!

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

At the time I didn't care, but MGS has had some wacky control schemes. Hold L1 to go first person, press down Square halfway to pull up weapon, press down Square all the way to fire, L2 and R2 to lean. Your hands would be contorted trying to hit a moving enemy (MGS2).

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

Had a big, busy day, timer hits 0 but I have all my pikmin, no worries. Drop my gamepad on my lap. DISMISS NOISE. GODDAMNIT.

Lost all motivation playing after that. Can't believe I forgot to bring that up.
