Alot of people dont understand the difference between console only gamers and PC gamers. Sure if your like me who plans on buying a 4k PC setup soon, i know many friends that would pick an Xbox console. Also seems they forget what Xbox means for them and the market. High end PC users are into premium gaming, Xbox is also a house device that plays Blu Ray movies and 4k videos (Slim).

The ignorance of people shooting down Xbox because of Win10 PCs. The day Xbox dies is the same day every one plugs there PCs in there living room. Honestly what a joke haha

Anyway those that hate Xbox but are happy to buy there controllers and software, just remember your still supporting the same people. There games must be in demand if everyone is dieing to play them on PC.

Xbox doesn't have software, Microsoft does. Xbox is a branch within Microsoft that makes gaming hardware, and if it doesn't perform, it will be dropped.

And now that a pretty big factor (exclusives) has been devastatingly reduced, causing the question to be asked again.

And again it is pointless to ask again and people are still going to buy it not just for exclusives but also for big multiplatform games like COD and FIFA.

Technically doesn't have true exclusives anymore, so people couldn't really but it for that.

Xbox is a gaming service. It's the next evolution which will be software driven. Xbox Anywhere, look for it.

So that's a no? Darn, really wanted to play Battlefront on a Chromebook

i know you're being facetious, but I'll reply just in case. You need windows 10 to be running on the hardware, so no, a chromebook won't do.

i'm sure with the current price of the console you can buy a pc that will play the Xbox 1 games, so if your point is the price of a pc is high, that's not a very good point at all

but no that wasn't my point at all. Just being funny.

You don't need a gaming PC to game on PC.
Consoles will cost you more anyway because of the game prices.

How big of a percentage of gamers do you think know this? Building a PC is far more of a hassle than bying a console and if you buy a factory made PC, it will still be more expensive than a console. Plus, you don't have an easy interface for games on PC (since there are GOG, Steam, Origin, Windows Store and so on) so there is nothing easy or accesible on PC for the average gamer. Thos if why consoles are so attractive for many people. Also, with all the games we get for free with, for example, XBLG, we save a ton of money as well. Gaming has never been so cheap.

I think saying that PC gaming is inaccessible is to patronize most gamers. Everyone allready owns a PC and unless it's like 8 years old it should be able to play lots of games just fine. PC gaming used to be a pain in the ass long ago, but it's gotten a lot easier. You make a fair point about consoles being easy, but consoles have gotten worse over the years, with mandatory DLC and installs and stuff. They're not simple plug&play boxes anymore. Maybe Nintendo still are. They still know how to do it right.

Also, building a PC is fun. To me it's sometimes more fun than many games :P

I LOVE ICELAND!

Nope. The last Xbox that i owned was the OG. Never been completely sold on the Xbox brand.

If you have a decent gaming PC, Xbox seems a redundant choice. But I like the idea of having a console so if the Nextbox Scorpio has exclusives that I like, I'll get one.

What is patronizing with that statement? The reason why console became so big during the 90's was its accessibility compares to PC (just the fact that you NEVER had to install anything was a big plus for consoles). I agree that consoles have become less accessible, and that is damaging for the industry as a whole in my view. Many gamers play games on tablets and phones today instead of traditional consoles since they are quite easy to just pick up and play. This is the challenge for MS, Sony and Nintendo, to grow while holding on to console gamers and others as well.

Every week you create a thread like this.

There is no discusion to be had here. How mods keep them open is beyond me.
