Looks like another ISIS attack or an attack by a ISIS wannabe. It's tragic and I hope that ISIS eventually is stomped out. I find it odd that so many news sites/channels and the president are trying to deflect blame back onto americans for this happening or something else other than a terrorist attack.

That is what happens in EU these times.

It's all our fault and the goverment let us feel it's our fault as well. Women getting raped by Muslim gangs who smuggled themselves into our country, it's the womens fault if they get raped by these gangs, cause she was wearing clothes Muslims consider to be "I want to be raped clothing"

Get used to it, white-guilt is real

He just happened to have parents who migrated from the Islamic world.

Your claim is ridiculous. It's as if you haven't even heard about the terrorist attacks in France and Belgium, commited by immigrants and their children.

As a Belgian myself I feel like I should react to this. Why are you so negative? Is the situation in Sweden that bad?

I live in a country that 30 years ago stated that gay marriage should not be possible but in 2002 made it legal and instead of being proud to be the second country in the world to do so I feel rather ashamed that it took so long.  What I remember from that time is that they reported 95% of the muslim community was against it/That Sharia4Belgium was against it and were tolerated by the muslim community in my city of Antwerp. That the Mister gay election was disrupted by muslims demonstrations... That the muslim community were disrepectfull and even some respected 9/11, that Jews were scared and the idea of an exodus to Israel was on its way that my city Antwerp will have a majoriy of muslims and yeah I was worried they were even planning to ban headscarfs for shop workers in my city.... I joined this site in 2007 and you can still find some negative comments about me on the situation.

But If I look back and see that now less than 60% of the muslim community is against gay marriage, that this year Mister Gay election had almost a winner who was muslim and surprising their were no muslim protest (except for some facebook hate comments), I saw that the muslim community started to mass report Sharia4Belgium to the police and the organisation and radicals left the city cause it became to hard to win souls over. The jew community and Muslim community are sharing parties/projects together and the Jewish community is on it's way to grow again (and this in a city with (almost) an Muslim Majority.  And I am surprised to see that the number of girls wearing a headscarf has drapped massively, in fact the majority of wearing them are converts.

It became all personal for me because I now have a half sister who is muslim and has a father who is an immigrant himself, her best friend came out and admitted she is an lesbian/bisexual and she and her friends all accepted her they even laughed with the idea that she was scared, I see my half sister not following ramadan/eating halal meat and enjoying the freedom of follwing Islam her own way and doing what she want and I see so many examples of her...

Sure their are still issues like almost 60% against gay marriage but I see progression and I believe that the number of people being against it will go down... it is clear for me that the Muslim community in belgium is changing for the better and that their is postive progression. I can easy be negative like I was before and post that the marjority of muslims against gay marriage but I find it immportant to reflect on it and see progression.

So the situation is all different in Sweden? I thought Sweden would be doing way better but I admit I not live in Sweden.

But then I see

Did I say anything about muslims and homosexuality? No.

He claimed that it had nothing to do with immigration because the shooter was American. I only set it straight about the clear connection, that it matters that he had immigrant parents and was a muslim himself, just like the terrorists in France and Belgium were immigrants or children of immigrants. There's a clear pattern - muslims with immigrant background.

The things you tell about the integration in Belgium, it's interesting but it makes me damn ashamed to be a European. We should never have accepted these attitudes in the first place.

The solution to these shooting is obviously more guns, lots more. That will set things right.

Breivik is Norwegian, just like you.

What does that mean?

In case anyone missed it, I was being heavily sarcastic...

Must've been a terrible way too go....

Heart goes too him and his family, and the rest of the victims in this attack.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

It means that Breivik was able to shoot a lot of people in a country with strict gun laws. And so did the terrorists in France and Belgium.

Oh wow, another muslim following what the Quran says and killing innocents.

Damn white males! USA needs to bring in more muslims.

I dont understand the left, the first ones to be stoned to death in a muslim majority country will be them.

Just look at Saudi Arabia and other muslim countries, women and homosexuals are treated like shit there.

Ah but that's probably the west fault too, i'm sure.

The fact that every single muslim country is a hellhole is just a coincidence right?

Remember to vote for Hillary so she can open the borders even more!

This guy was just arrested, he was travelling to Los Angeles to attack the gay pride parade there.

He had guns and make shift bombs in his car:

Where does it say he was on his way to shoot at a gay parade?

Nice try to bring everyone's attention elsewhere.

Like other leftists you're such a blatant apologist for extremist islam.

I'm just going to be as concise as possible. Omar Sateen killed and injured several people at a gay nightclub. Why did he do that? Because he is homophobic. Where does his homophobia come from? The doctrines of Islam. Heck, his father said that it is "up to God to punish homosexuals".

I'm sure at least one person has already played the "don't generalize all Muslims" virtue signalling card. However, that misses the point. There's a big difference between criticizing Islam and criticizing Muslims. One involves a religion-ideology hybrid and the other involves a group of people. As long as people refuse to acknowledge that the ideas of Islam are incompatible in a liberal western society, this is only going to get worse.

There was also an Imam from Orlando saying earlier this year that gays must be killed out of compassion.  So yea, let's completely believe Islam is a religion of peace and all religions are equal.   When this continues to happen, let's just circle the bandwagons around Islam, regardless of if the followers have abandoned Sharia Law or not.  Oh, but God forbid Israel fires back at terrorists firing at them.  "But Israel has better weaponry, they're being mean." Yea, thank God they do have better weaponry, otherwise they'd be wiped off the map by now.  And EU and the US would be next.

What on earth has it got to do with Right Wing people?

Stalin made homosexuality illegal. It has nothing to do with a political leaning. It nearly always has to do with having some kind of totalitarian ideology. Those are the main things that give people the sense that they have a right to dictate what you do in private.

I mean it's true that it doesn't always have to do with political leaning, I'd say in America it's closely related. Very few people outside the right hate gays in 2016.

Ok. But that's largely just the coincidence of the fact that the Right in the US are more likely to be part of a religious ideology. But as I say, that's not true everywhere in the world. There are plenty of radical left wing ideologies that demonize this stuff too. The common factor is just being part of a totalitarian ideology. Without that, you don't have any reason to care who other people are attracted to.

I don't personally want to watch gay people kissing each other either. But I don't have any kind of dogmatic ideology that gives me this justifcation for thinking I have some right to stop them. So I just don't go to gay clubs! Significantly better than trying to murder everyone who doesn't fit your preferences.
