Why don't you have trust in snoopy he never made a wrong prediction so far in this thread

Wait... so Microsoft's gaming division is going to lose a huge chunk of revenue by making Xbox live free.... yeah.... and it's the type of thing that once you've done it, it's very difficult to go back.

It could happen, but if it did I don't think k it'd be a good decision. That's a lot of money to throw away and it'd need to sell a lot of additional xbox's to be worth it. And judging by last generation paid vs free online isn't that big a selling point.

Free multiplayer on Xbox? That would be crazy! Did Microsoft ever had free multiplayer?
But I still don't believe you. ^^

I highly doubt Microsoft doing that.

Free online?Nope.Probably in the mold of something similar to Psn,with certain free to play games able to play online. If it is there will be a catch, it just makes too much money.

It will be free but tied a monthly subscription.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

"free xbox live"

This Phil Spencer guy is gonna get the Xbox division axed. The years of people whining about paying for online is years behind us, why would they stop accepting money from millions of people?

Not going to happen. Well, unless MS is truly done with Xbox. Could make it free while they still support the XBO, and the Scorpio is going to focus more on being a Windows box, similar to a Steam box.

How will Microsoft brag bout Live attachment rates then? :P
