Yeah. The end of the N64/Gameboy Color era was pretty bad. We had Conker and pokemon yellow. The lead up to GCN was pretty bleak.

If the NX doesn't do well, I think Nintendo owes it to their fans to weigh, er, "branching out" as an option. This has to be the most grueling dry spell for a gaming platform ever.

Depends. For people just now getting into Nintendo, I'd say it's a great time. They have a ton of games they can play now with no worry of a ton of backlog. But.. When talking about fans like me... Yeah. It does kinda suck.

Nintendo has a bright future. Maybe not on the console market but their games are gonna be huge on mobiles and tablets. So i don't know why y'all have this kind mentality that Nintendo is all doom and gloom. As a huge PlayStation fan, im actually quite jealous of the success of Nintendo right now.

We don't know if Nintendo will be a huge success on mobile either ... 

What exactly is there to be proud of Nintendo right now ? They just suffered their first annual loss this generation, a massive decline in both handhelds and home consoles sales, a decline in software sales, severe software pipelines, and serious struggles to meet deadlines ... 

If Nintendo goes so low as to compete against smart phones for all their time then they may as well go third party or pack it up altogether instead of dealing with low profit margins and a contested market. At that point Nintendo as a gaming company becomes totally hopeless ... 

There's absolutely nothing I can think of to be jealous right now in Nintendo's position ... 

As a nintendo home-console fan only? Probably the worst. It's their first console i've ever considered a failure. I think it's a little weird when their best 1st party single player game is possibly pikmin 3. 1st console to not have it's own zelda. i think it's the first console where i didnt have 3 really cool 3rd party exclusives too. bummer

Great staffs coming from Nintendo in next 11 montsh, great Zelda, NX and lotsa NX games. Iam very exaited.

Home console wise? no dont think its ever been this bad.
