Has there ever been a worse time to be a Nintendo fan?

What exactly is there to be proud of Nintendo right now ? They just suffered their first annual loss this generation, a massive decline in both handhelds and home consoles sales, a decline in software sales, severe software pipelines, and serious struggles to meet deadlines ... 

If Nintendo goes so low as to compete against smart phones for all their time then they may as well go third party or pack it up altogether instead of dealing with low profit margins and a contested market. At that point Nintendo as a gaming company becomes totally hopeless ... 

There's absolutely nothing I can think of to be jealous right now in Nintendo's position ...
