*Sigh* ... Why are people giving that much importance to Metacritic ?! Seeing people crying because the game has now 93 is ridiculous.

It's just a mass of opinions, get over it !

Haha yeah! VGChartz or Gamers stress out soooooo much on these little things. Im sorry guys but that meta score isn't going to be on your face 24/7. Just buy the game and finish the game. Because probably by the time you finish it, you wouldn't care what it's meta is.

People have different opinions! <----- *Gasp* I know right! Shocking isn't it.

He can have his opinion all he wants but that doesn't mean he's free from being roasted for his terrible opinion.

Guys, it's a sattire, I think that Metacritic screwed up. Which makes me really happy. They're really trustworthy XD

Check the URL address. The article is under the Comic Riffs section, meaning that it's satire.

Sadly, it's not the case, all Washington Post reviews are under Comic Riffs.

but this older positive review published in Washington Post is an AP review too, so why was this ignored?

I mean, it would be one thing if it was mixed, but a 40% means that this game is basically bordering on unplayable by todays scoring logic, it's a bare pass by acedemic standards, are they really suggesting that the game doesn't function from a technical standpoint or is unplayable to them?

It's just the other games on that level like I said... Sonic 06 has a meta of 46% would those guys really think it was a more enjoyable game than UC4? pathetic clickbait, nothing more, nothing less.

He actually uses praising the game technical prowess as a point to call something bad out of nowhere.

"A Thief’s End” is overflowing with useless detail. It overwhelms the eye with so many different points of focus that one almost clings to the over-the-shoulder focal point at the center of the screen, where the gun reticle can at least hint at a potential ways of engaging with all of the simulated objects and effects that are otherwise impossible to identify, let alone differentiate."

That is pretty nuts indeed, the game was too detailed for him to focus on what to shoot... so ... someone with ADHD gone wild just being distracted by plants and such around him? How the fuck does he walk to work? maybe have blinkers on or just set up a long grey untextured corridor from his home to the job :D

It's more the fact that review was satire or something akin to that. The actual review from the washington post is more in line with what others thought of this game, so Metacritic essentially took the score from the "fake"(?) review and took it as an actual score and not the valid one.

Either way, you are right. It's just metacritic, often those reviews do not acquirely reflect how much enjoyment we can get out of a game.

Reminds me of the IGN review's youtube comments, people crying over a 9.

Welp, not getting it now. Would've got it... had it been able to keep that sweet score of 94. But alas I'm not getting it. Think about it, it has sunken to the level of 3D World and the like. Ew.

Washington Post 4/10

That's not suspicious at all. This is what agendas look like.

But you haven't played the game. How can you bash this without even trying the game in the first place? Maybe you start playing and suddenly get overwhelmed with the amount of things on screen that simply don't allow you to properly enjoy the game.

You can't complain without having played the game!

Yeah honestly I can understand what the reviewer is saying, I had the same problem with Duck Hunt because there was a tree.
