You know what I mean, in an overall picture. It's obvious that there are exceptions, but those are so rare now. Most of the blockbusters are the same: CGI, explosions, nosense story, forgettable soundtrack.

Yep, there are some films that are almost unwatchable and it's all about boom, explosion, fight, CGI, another explosion. I don't think MCU films fall in that category though, but that's a matter of tastes. There are fight scenes, explosions and CGI, but that's not everything they are imo. I'm talking more about Transformers movies, that level of shitiness, they are ALL about that.

You're right but some of the Marvel movies aren't far off. Transformers are literally 1/10 for me. Some of the MCU movies are 3/10.

I think that the worse MCU movie for me is Hulk, and even so I'd rate it with a 5/10. But that's a matter of taste, obviously. I think they're decent enough to at least keep me entertained.

Taking my older kids to see it, but I am expecting another shitty Iron Man movie since he is involved heavily. They have the same problem as the X-Men movies, which you might as well call The Chronicles of Wolverine. Sad that the Iron Man disease is now spreading into Captain America movies, and it's now going to taint quality aspects of other movies, bringing in Ant-Man and GotG characters. Pretty soon the infection will be everywhere.

I thought the Russo brothers did a good job with Captain America in Winter Soldier so likely see this.

I don't have any dog in the super hero fan fight, just enjoy movies I enjoy.

It's not the same as Wolverine. Cap and Iron Man were the two leads in the Civil War comic. Side note, seems like Mystique is the new Wolverine these days.

I strictly can't rely on these scores by a handful. It'll be the audience who will make or break this movie. Age of Ultron made things look slightly bleak. To outgross even that movie at domestic, there should be enough repeat views. But 1 billion is almost guaranteed if things remain consistent. Moreover there is this new theory of DC rabid fans skipping the movie altogether and also working against its audience score as a solidarity move against critics. The whole handful of critics are being considered by DC fanbase as a setup by Disney to create anticipation and the accusation being hurled at it would only intensify all the more.

My bet is that this huge anticipation with early great scores will pay off to benefit the OW to around 180 to 190, but the movie will fall in line with Ultron's multiplier of 2.45 OW or lesser(owing to steep declines depending on word of mouth) making it outgross Caps 2 by a significant margin of 120 to 130 M at domestic and 200-230 M more at foreign, thereby bringing its total cume to 1.1 billion at greater ease.

OW: 185M  LTD:  415M

Foreign: 700M

WW: 1.1 B

I'm curious. Do people really think critics are out for WB? I mean the new Barbershop move is over 90 on RT and its' a WB film.

No idea what they think but looking at some movies from the last years like Mad Max, Godzilla, The LEGO Movie, Gravity or even Magic Mike XXL should be enough to realize that WB movies do also get some scores even above what the audience thinks.

But some always see a conspiracy against what they like. You get some WB movies with bad scores or the competition with good ones for specific movies and BAM!

I don't think so. But I do think that they favour some studios.
