Goodbye console gaming. It was fun while it lasted.
Realistically, is there any way that they could perhaps make a peripheral that would turn an old PS4 into a PS4.5, so you wouldn't have to buy a completely new system? Something akin to a Sega 32X? Of course, they could have a PS4.5 that is a standalone.
I can't see this being a good idea in the slightest unless that is a possibility. There will be 50 million PS4s at least out on the market when this comes out and people are going to be pissed off.
According to the same leaker this is NOT releasing this year but late Q1 2017: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=199662492&postcount=2766
if this is true, i'm pretty sure gamestop or some other retailers will have some deal where you can trade in your ps4 for a ps4k/slim for half price.
I'll get one for sure.

No, probably not. Even if it's possible otherwise, the peripheral would probably have to use USB, which in turn apparently isn't fast enough.

Yep. This will be their #DealWithIt moment, I'm afraid.
Complete rubbish, there is no way this is true, I love all these smear campaign's Microsoft is running to slow ps4 and ps4vr sales.

That's what I was expecting.
I personally think its fake, because that would be a really dumb move to make, and since Sony has been nailing everything this generation, I find hard to believe that they would make a mistake this big now.
My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
