Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Reddit: another NX rumor (launch, price, games)

Metroid Prime for launch = Fake. It was already confirmed that there's no MP on works right now, and it would take at least three years to complete the project.

Replacing the 3ds before the WiiU lacks.... Logic.

I just can't believe this one.

GBA got replaced before GCN, although the GBA sold way better. Same goes for NDS/Wii.

Lol. Home console this year. LMFAO.

It's basically clear now how it will happen:

Handheld 2016

Home console 2017

Without a doubt.

Every leak and rumour that's not been confirmed as a fake pointed out to the home console release, not the handheld one. Plus, Nintendo wants a port of Zelda U as a launch title, I don't know if a 2016 handheld can have a game that demanding at a relatively cheap price.  Plus Nintendo wouldn't want to kill the 3DS early, while the WiiU is already a niche product. Home console will come first.

When did Nintendo ever say that they want Zelda as a launch title? It is a Wii U exclusive game. You are saying things about Nintendo that aren't true. 3DS sales are falling. They even had to lower their forecast by 1 million. 3DS is not doing well. It will be replaced first.

No way is Nintendo going to wait until late 2017 to release a replacement for the dead WIi U, so this "leak" is BS.

and why shouldn't they wait? They are still making a ton of Wii U software. It isn't dead.

If the 3DS isn't doing well, the WiiU is catastrophic. Even at its weakest, the 3DS is the device that is keeping most of Nintendos software and hardware sales this gen. Zelda U's constant delays and some of the most trustworthy leaks point to a Zelda U version on the NX as soon as they can.

Also, if the idea of a shared library is true, the handheld would need as much power as possible, so waiting a year for it to get better specs would be reasonable.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

A ton of WIi U software?  The Wii U has only two worthwhile releases this year.  Outside Star Fox Zero and Zelda U the Wii U is barren of AAA 1st party support throughout 2016.  Nintendo is saving a bunch of big AAA games for NX's launch and launch window when it releases later this year.

List them?

Seem to know more than Nintendo, amazing.

Twilight Princess HD, Pokken, Star Fox Zero, Star Fox Guard, Mario & Sonic, Tokyo Mirage Sessions, Paper Mario and Zelda. That's more than we had in 2014. Think about that. Nintendo isn't done yet with the Wii U. The Wii U has its momentum right now.

And Kimishima said several times that there are more unannounced Wii U games. I expect around 4 or 5 unannounced games coming this year.

The idea of the shared library is obviously not true. That would just cause that we get lame handheld games on the home console and no real home console games.

And where is the Wii U doing catastrophic? It sell constant 3 million per year. And every Zelda game had delays. Even Skyward Sword and did that ended on Wii U? No. The delays don't mean anything. And leaks can always be fake.

All of the rumors that have not been confirmed as fake so far indicate that the NX handheld is a myth. It appears the NX is one console, with the main controller having enough processing power that it may be capable of playing android-style apps/games on the go (hence the confusion).

With the exception of Star Fox Zero  and New Zelda all those other games you listed are mid to low tier games.  Again, the Wii U still only has two big AAA games for 2016.    And actually I might be a bit generous calling Star Fox Zero a AAA game.

Those are not made by Nintendo,TPHD is made by Tantulus,SFZ is by Platinum,M&S by Sega,TMS by Atlus and already out in Japan and Pokken is made by Namco and is a port of an arcade game. Kimishima said 1 time(not several)that they had unannounced games Wii U and 3DS,not just Wii U games, and since then they have announce SF:Guard(a small project in the works since at least 2014),TPHD(again made a 3rd party studio),PM,Pokemon and Kirby that's 2 new Wii U games, a HD port of a gamecube game and 2 3DS games.
