Choose wisely!

Street Fighter V (PS4) 145 43.15%

Rise of the Tomb Raider (X1) 191 56.85%

Total:336

I guess how many have sold both on digital. I think the gap is even bigger with digital.

Capcom should've released SFV on the Xbox One instead of partnering with Sony.

Anyway I guess ROTTR doesn't seem like a "flop" now, does it?

The meager sales on the Xbox one wouldn't have "saved" Street fighter.

The issue is the lack of content which lead to the lack of sales.

They were so eager to get it out for the fighting tournaments that they thought people would be fine with adding the content through the year.

Well they partnered with Sony because Sony threw a signfiicant amount of money at it. The question is was it worthwhile for Sony.

Lack of content is only one issue of SFV. I don't think they considered how much they milked the IP.

Congrats to ROTR poor SFV...well Capom that's what you getting for releasing a game int eh manner you all did SFV it was indeed a disappointment....and as a huge fighting game fan it hurts to say that!

I don't think the way it launched is inhernetly bad, I mean KIller Instinct appears to be a success.

But I guess asking for a $60 upfront before the game is complete is not a good strategy. Maybe Capcom should consider a F2P version of SFV if sales stay modest.

Just looking at the week 1 and 2 sales you can tell TR was released in a dumb period. Sure the holidays may have given it a good week 4 - 6 boost, but the game would have sold much more of it didn't have the competition that it had. He'll even a January launch would have been good.

Good to see it selling better than SFV.

I'd like to point out that RotTR had the advantage of releasing during the holidays, while SFV released in March.

I want to say RoTR, but my gut say SF V. I flipped a coin. SF V it is.

You should have stuck with RoTR.  You had it right the first time. I hope you use this as a learning experience. :D

Great results, good to see ROTR did so well, the game is fantastic and looks like it was a good move for Microsoft. I can't tell you how many posts I saw on various sites saying they wanted to buy an XB1 just to play the game since they didn't want to wait for the PS4 version, so it's definitely a good move.

That point has been made numerous times in this thread.

Other IPs have easily outsold RotTR with a release window near SFV. Also, SFV was available to a significantly larger audience. So I dunno, I'm thinking SFV is the problem.

There were no excuses being made early on either. Expectations were extremely high for SFV.
