Forums - Nintendo - Star Fox Zero - Let's Rock & Roll Trailer / Release Date April 22nd 2016

F*cK the haters, this trailer looks GREAT!!

And that star fox guardian little game looked pretty interesting too, good way to make it a more complete experience, I think it should be already on the game but it comes bundled so ok.

BTW, I really like that you can play with the snes ship using the fox amiibo, is just a little detail but is a nice one for people that has it.

Around the Network

I have such a schizophrenic relationship with this game. At time, I get frustrated and lose all interest in buying it, then they show something cool and I'm intrigued again. I can't recall the last time a game kept alternatingly tempting and repelling me like this. I can't even make up my mind if I want it.

I'm the only one (yeah, that answer is always no, but follow me) who thinks Guard looks like a fun game? Like a Plants vs Zombies taking advantage of the Gamepad's virtues. And I really love Plant vs Zombies.

It looks fun, but to me, as someone who gets only digital games and has no money, if it means Zero will be cheaper than $60 and I'll still have to pay something for Guard, I guess I'll just skip Guard.

from starfoxzero.com

Star Fox Zero can be purchased by itself from the Nintendo eShop for $49.99, while the packaged version comes with the Star Fox Guard game at a suggested retail price of $59.99.

Star Fox Guard is included in the retail version of Star Fox Zero. A standalone digital version of the game can also be purchased through the Nintendo eShop for $14.99. Customers that purchase the digital version of either Star Fox Zero or Star Fox Guard will receive an automatic $4.99 Nintendo eShop discount toward the purchase of the other game.

So do we have to pre order it to get project guard?

You can download it from the eShop or buy retail digital code.

EDIT: Apparently the first print edition has Guard in disc.

They're bundling Guard with first print retail but I don't know if it'll be similar to Bayonetta 2 in NA where all first prints came with 2 game discs. There was no separate Bayonetta 2 game released retail for the first print in NA with all coming with 2 game discs.

Guess they always do stuff differently in Europe and America. Over here it's just as described in the OPs video.
Everyone in NA is forced on getting the game for free with the bundled version? You can't buy it standalone like us?

Definitely looks much better than before, saying that I was ok even with E3 reveal.

Too bad Project Robot doesn't come like integrated part of game.

What about content quantity? 6 zones with 6 bosses just like in original? I beat StarFox 64 3D in a hour or something like that.

It sounds like there are branching routes, so at least double the content as in one extra boss in each zone?

They want to make you replay the game a few times to play them all (and get to master the controls while doing it).

Seems like Guard is a forced bonus for the first print in NA, though I think the price reflects that too.  We'll see what retailers have listed in the next few days here to know exactly what the pricing and options will be.

I prefer more stages and more bosses. Bossfights variety in SF643D was not impressive at all. Hell, even rare SF-esque sections in Wonderful 101 was more fun and better paced overall. 6 bosses sounds like insult for the gamers.

SF64 had 15 bosses, not 6, and that's not counting Star Wolf Team.
