Forums - Nintendo - I bet the Wii U wont even be mentioned at E3.

The main thing is that there won't be enough WiiU titles to have a focus on it. The 2015 E3 was already a sad show.
So they will just show what there is left, all mixed with the 3DS and NX titles, but I bet the Zelda presentation will focus on the NX version.

They dont need to support it for years to come.Just giving it one more year with some titles, like Pikmin 4 that should have a Wii U version ready and a few others, will be enough to keep people happy, and good PR to show that Nintendo is not abandoning Wii U owners, even though thats not quite true.

So you do understand that Nintendo is abandoning the Wii U then. Well now I don't understand how you can also tell me cross gen games are a possibility, especially when not even the Wii got such treatment. Also another Pikmin game would not make up for the lack of Metroid, Animal Crossing, etc., the Wii U only lasting 4 years, the massive droughts, and so ons. Definitely not worth stealing from the NXs thunder, the system that still has a chance of succes.

If we believe in SuperMetalDave64´s source there is one more unannounced wii u game coming. So no. Also zelda U.

Once again I ask for a quote. Also Zelda U will be like Twilight Princess in E3 2006, so really it's Zelda NX with reassurance that a Wii U version still exist.

Lol. Not gonna happen. They will focus on Wii U and NX handheld at E3.

So you're just gonna completely disregard history?

Nope. Zelda Wii U was confirmed several times. The question is, if an NX version really exist. Dont act like its Zelda NX, its not.

SuperMetalDave64 Videos was shut down. He talked about upcoming releases.

What history? The history that Nintendo consoles have 5-6 years of life cycle? And not 4 as you suggest. The history of Nintendo launching handhelds first? And not the home console as you suggest.

As you can clearly see you're the one who disregards history.

That would be really terrible for Wii U owners.
I think it will be mentioned at E3 but it won't have an important role. Everyone will be talking about NX.

I doubt we will see a direct soon. They showed alot stuff outside of an direct recently (Twilight Princess gameplay, Pokemon Sun and Moon, Pokken Gameplay). If they wanted to do a direct soon, they would probl didnt showed that stuff outside of an direct but included it.

3DS also has some staffs that could be shown, I definitely expecting one ND before E3.

Well looks like you were right

The Zelda on Wii U confirmation doesn't change what I said. Once they reveal it, the NX version will be touted as the main version, just like with Twilight Princess.

There's really no text based documentation like with his Pokemon leak? What other upcoming releases did he talk about?

The history in the OP, you did read it right? Yes history doesn't always repeat itself, but it's not that they did it before that's important, it's because it made sense to do so then, and it still does now. They're basically examples of what Nintendo would do in that situation. When they've got a new product, they're going focus on it and not spend significant time in the presentation on old product they're not even supporting anymore. As for the history you're talking about, it's not the same situation. They posted losses for the first time, their game development is being strained big time, they have almost 0 third party support, and so ons. They're going against history because keeping the Wii U around longer than they have to makes little sense, and releasing typical successors wont cut it.

Agree, I expect Nintendo Direct in near feature, and that will be probably last time Wii U being in focus in Nintendo Direct.

In your face! :)

Im not blind to see that the Wii U is, by all means, being abandoned due to low sales. What I mean is that it dosent stop Nintendo to releasing some games, that may have been initially planned to release on Wii U, to have a version on both systems, since there already is some work on a Wii U version done.

But as since it was confirmed just a few minutes ago that a Nintendo direct is comming tomorrow, then yeah, NOW I agree with you that the chances of Wii U games, or even 3DS ones in the regard, to show on E3 are really slim.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

It certainly seems that no major new Nintendo Wii U titles will be announced this E3... Hell there were no new major titles announced last E3... The only major titles to be released this year are games that were delayed from 2015 really aside from Twilight Princess remastered...
