It bombed. It bombed hard. On a userbase of 37 million units they might sell 250k units? Those numbers are terrible. You can spin it however you want, but this thing is going to need legs for the next 6 years to make for this terrible launch. And most likely it won't. It might have a bump when the single player comes out. It might have another little bump when the Super version comes out. And finally it might get its last little bump when Ultra comes out.

I really hope that Capcom got lots of money for SF5 console exclusivity, because its looking like this game may be the death of them.

Are you always really bad at math? Or did Sony announce they sold 37 million in the UK alone?

This isn't about just the UK I'm talking about overall. How can the fastest selling Playstation in history have a console exclusive from a established franchise bomb so hard? Capcom found a way.

Sony foot the bill, it's all gravy.

It is still the best fighter next gen where it counts.

PC?

CoD games get called a lot of things, but I don't think unfinished is one of them.  Activision has that series running like a well oiled machine.

Its pretty unfinished, it had one of the most mediocore campaigns in BO3 for any fps game. Many fans said that

Being disappointed in the quality doesn't mean it lacked content.

Currently it is outsold by Pokken Tournament on amazon best seller list and price is already dropped to 49.99. If it's not a flop than I don't know what is. On PSNProfiles it has about same number of owners that Naruto UNS4. And what amazes me, how can company which single-handedly start fighting games renaissance with SF4 can even manage to launch the sequel in such state? Did Capcom's board of directors just waste all the money on hostess clubs?

They really screwed things up with that DLC mess that was SFxTekken. Looks like they didn't learn. I was hyped for SFV. Got my money right here but there way the game is in its current form, I ain't buying. If the game doesn't sell well, what is Capcom s motivation to improve the game with more content? That's my fear.

I mean Splatoon pretty much did the same thing, we'll see how it works out for SFV

It really didn't. Splatoon came out for 38€ not 65€. Big difference.

A lot of people are waiting, until more than this shell of a game, is released. Not enough content to warrant a $60 price, imo. I'm one of those people, who just can't seem to get into fighters, anymore. I loved them in the PS1/PS2 days, though.

Well the game didn't had the hype, even pre orders including Japan are pretty low and later today we will have the sales don't be surprised if it is not good.

Secondly I am not a big fan of how Capcom launched this game and their are moments I feel like fuck you capcom.

I mean it is a Sony invested game and they release the game in a state that makes me kind of angry because you basically are thanks for your money Sony and now lets fuck the gamers.  Because all they did was making fans dissapointed even big fans like Happy console gamer and people like Angry Joe who is even working with them.   The game doesn't feel in any way a game that is thank you for Sony or for its fans and that is sad because it only lives because of its fans and Sony. They should have released it maybe as a 35€ game and a 50€ version with the season pass but not like this.

90% digital sales, the game is selling like crazy

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"
