for me absolutley, if Sony, Nintendo and MS decide to make Digital Only hardware in the future then i am done with Mordern Gaming. I dont see the point why i should invest money into something which is dependent on these servers and linceses.

I much rather spent money on things i will be able to play even in 20 or 30 years from now on, no matter what. And its not only longevity but its also the fact that physical copies drop in price but they can increase in price as well. Even mordern retail games like the NA Devils third version becomes a collectors items @day1. Digital games can only go down and you cant resell them. Why should i spent 10-20$ for a 2D Indie game if i can buy SNES or PS1 games who do it better, are sometimes even cheaper and increase in value maybe?

The 8 Gen consoles biggest competitors isnt PC or Mobile but their previous console generations when it comes to my wallet. /rant

No, I would continue to buy and play the games I enjoy regardless of the fact that it was 100% digital.

and i can do the same with previous Consoles and PC games. There are like 50 thousand or more of them

Of course not.

You can't get a PS4 exclusive that you would want to play through your method there.  Ultimately for me the method of purchase does not outweigh my desire to play the game.  For you it does.

A great game doesn't become less great because it's digital, so why should that ever be a factor? Digital only can't come soon enough IMO.

If I am allowed to make backup data of the content on my HDD (In case it ever breaks and I can no longer re-download the games per se on a new one), yes, why not? I will forever hold the data and the games. No internet blackout will prevent me from playing so.

I have like 15 digital games on my 360 that work perfectly fine, and I don't have to have the console connected to the internet.

No I would not quit.

If there's no option of getting physical - then I'll get digital. Simple as that.
