Faith is by definition unreasonable because you didn't use reason to come to your conclusions.

I am really shocked that no faith has the highest percentage. To answer the question about faith, we need to ask our-self one question: What is the purpose of life? are we created only to eat, sleep, work and then die? Is this really what life is about?

With no offence to the majority of who voted NO, knowing that most of them are Atheist and the Agnostic, if you found a watch in the middle of a desert. What would you conclude? Would you think that someone dropped this watch? Or would you suppose that the watch came by itself? Of course no sane person would say that the watch just happened to emerge from the sand. All the intricate working parts could not simply develop from the metals that lay buried in the earth. The watch must have a manufacturer. If a watch tells accurate time we expect the manufacturer must be intelligent. Blind chance cannot produce a working watch.

Do you know how many species have reached extinction and have left little marks on history besides their existence? (Them larger than us) The reason we believe ourselves to be more than what we art is because of our ego. We're an intelligent species that also have emotions that much like our parentage wonder if something made us for a purpose or cares for us. All we know is that we are born, we exist for a time and we die. On a scientific level we find a habitat that is habitable and sustain ourselves while we increase in population and consume (and maintain) resources. Soon earth will be too small for us. You will find this to be true as you realize our outer-earth driven endeavors continue to move not just beyond our neighboring planets, satellite bodies, and systems but also other galaxies.

The greatest concrete answers will come when we find out we are not alone.

If we do....all our religious texts will put to the test as to whether they are valid or not.

Chances are once we find out....

they wont be.

Cant see it as a valid arugment, are you saying that humans will one day become extinct and some form of new species will take over the world??

Not once did I imply that in my statement; however (to entertain your statement), we did live by survival of the fittest before the earth was dominated, tamed and our livestock penned in for our eating pleasure.

The primary point is...

There have been numerous species whom have gone extinct without a care in the world from the universe. Not one sign of hope of their return. The only place that has happened is in....well....Jurassic Park. We happen to be a big fan of things being created by artificial means, because well...we created them.

My son and I were having this very conversation this morning (we like to just have generalised chats sometimes), and we both concluded exactly the same thing as you have posted :)

A watch is a man made device to measure time (something that is not man made). The problem with your point is that you make it a requirement to find a man made device, only to say that it must've been made by someone intelligent (human). Kinda obvious isn't it?

While you don't even consider that you could easily stumble onto a working sundial (stick on the sand) in a desert.

Faith is reasonable or makes sense for the person that has it, doesn't mean it's supported by facts.

People needs to believe we were created with a purpose and that we know all the answers. Human ego at its finest

After watching a tv show where steve hawkings explains negative energy,......

The showed a flat landscale, and asked the viewer to imagine the universe as a flat land.
Then you dig a hole, and in one place theres "less" land (the hold you dug) which is then "negative energy", and in the hill of dirt you dug is the energy needed for a big bang.

Im like.... what science is saying is you can take energy from nothing, to create huge amounts of it, by magically just haveing a place where there was no energy, and its just missing more?

How do you pull energy out of nothing? and justify that as being possible, as to explain how big bang took place?
And why did this event happend?

I think science has proved alot, but theres still alot left to explain.

I believe in a god that created the universe. I dont do so because I think any of us where created with a purpose at mind.

It's the opposite of reason, so no but that doesn't mean a religious person can't be reasonable.
