That said..... How about 1.6mil splatoon shipped+digital? Sell through is at least 1.32mil! (should be plenty of copies of  store shelves!)

Because both sold 100k+ Last week (From famitsu). Which both the PS4 and Vita could not do this week.

Take a look at the graph by shadow above.  It shows 8th gen home console sales by the year.  PS4 has been out 2 years and both of them it soundly finished on top.  Winning 2 weeks at Christmas is all well and good but I think winning the year is what's important.  

 

Ps4 is dominating home console hardware and software sales. The 3DS is dominating the handheld side.  so everybody is happy.

Well the person was asking why the Wii U and 3DS didn't increase this week. The obvious answer is they sold sooo much on the week before. If he/she was expecting the Wii U to do another 100k+ this week and beat the PS4 and Vita again then WOW. He/she surely does believe the Wii U will be a success.

The Wii U sold 92k last year because splatoon.  A ton of kids wanted it so parents were buying the Wii U for them.  The total numbers for the year were nothing special and in 2016 they won't be either.  

 

I'd call the Wii U a failure because it's going to sell less than half the Wii sales in Japan and be replaced early.  Decent Xmas numbers for a few weeks in 2015 and 2013 won't change that.

Yep Thats basically it. Soooo I dont know why this person thinks that it will do 200K+ in 2weeks.

Speaking of facts. the ps4 is practically equal to ps3 launch aligned now. That went on to sell over 10m and counting. Ps4 will sell 8m minimum possibly 10m too.

Either way it's guaranteed to be a nice success in Japan.

You can't be serious? No way is the ps4 going to sell way more than the ps3. We can all dream, but this will never happen :/
